Ever since the original release of Grand Theft Auto V on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, data miners and curious players have been at it to solve the “Chiliad Mystery”, to find out what the pictograph means and if there’s jetpacks or aliens in the game. With the recent Gunrunning update, data miners from Team Guru found a series of files and code that hinted towards a UFO Crash near Fort Zancudo. Players were excited to find out more about the mysterious Alien Egg that they had previously found. [interaction id=”595b64d2f2d4938713c38ac7″] After tirelessly working they were able to use a tool created by a member of Team Guru named Polivilas to switch in-game variables and forced the game to launch the alien mission. The footage above is the whole Alien Supply C...
After Take-Two decided to send a C&D letter to the developer of OpenIV and basically shutting down the single player modding scene, people were upset and angry about it were very vocal about it. This seems to have worked from the looks of it because OpenIV just got an update. Although it’s a small update, this confirms that OpenIV is back! That’s not all though because the credits section of OpenIV contains a “Special Thanks” to Rockstar Games along with the fact that Rockstar game’s retweeted a tweet from Motherboard which talks about them saving “an uber popular modding tool” for GTA V, which can mean that Rockstar has spoken to Take-Two about this. While there’s yet to be an official confirmation from Rockstar, this is what they had to...
After Take-Two have essentially banned modding for Grand Theft Auto V, the whole gaming community, especially PC gamers have come together to make it known that they are not pleased with the decision. There are numerous threads on NeoGAF and Reddit with people complaining about this decision while defending OpenIV, the tool that was banned. The community has been leaving negative reviews on Steam which has seen the game’s overall rating go from Overwhelmingly Positive to Mixed and recent rating to Overwhelmingly Negative. Players have also decided to boycott Take-Two games with many users urging people to let Take-Two know with your wallet. Games from Take-Two includes the Borderlands series, The Red Dead series, the WWE 2K games. Players are also not playing the game to show that th...
E3 2017 was not one of the best in recent years and you could say it was a “filler” year. A lot of no shows or surprise announcements this year, with most games being previously announced games. We’ve covered the highs and the lows, time to cover the no shows that we were expecting or hoping for. Cyberpunk 2077 After being teased in January 2013, we haven’t heard or seen much about it. With the recent claim of the hackers who stated they would release information and documents about the game to the public, CDPR stated that they would show the game when it was “ready”. We expected maybe another trailer or announcement of some sort but we got nothing. Death Stranding Hideo Kojima had announced before E3 that Death Stranding would not be shown. Then he sta...
Apparently evading cops, planning heists and pushing drugs got to Trevor’s head. Living a criminal life in San Andreas got a bit too much for Mr. Philips as he seems to be taking a break. The Canadian psychopath is looking at other job ventures like advertising to help pay the bills. Just have to get one thing sorted out though, the actor in the commercial isn’t actually playing Trevor Philips from GTA V, but Bob Giovanni. But he just looks so much like our beloved Trevor that we can choose to look past this fact. The actor is actually Steven Ogg and from what I hear is sane, law abiding citizen who stars as Neegan’s right hand in The Walking Dead. I assume he had a falling out with Michael and Franklin. Or maybe the new career is an elaborate prank where he whips somethi...

We know that Mafia III has not received the most welcome reception as many expected it to. But there are many things the game gets right, and these are things that have made my time with the game a lot more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise. The game’s story, setting, characters and core gameplay all seem so well tailored for the time period it is set in. Even though the game has a massive open world setting, it is great to see equal importance given to the characters and story. As much as I have enjoyed my time with GTA V, there are certain aspects where Mafia III clearly does way better than GTA V ever did. This is where I think Mafia III takes the lead. It boasts of a large open world but at the same time keeps your mission and side missions focused on an overall objecti...
Baack in 2014, Lindsay Lohan had filed a lawsuit against Take-Two, the publisher behind GTA V, claming that they had used her likeness in the game, and promotional material for the game. Acterss, Lindsay Lohan said that an in-game character named Lacey Jonas carried a strong resemblance to her. Later, she also targeted the bikini-clad character holding up the peace sign on the game’s promotional material. “The Plaintiff has been using the peace sign hand gesture for years before and after its use in the video game,” read Lohan’s complaint at the time. And that is how the peace sign had come into existence. However, at the end of the day, common sense prevailed, and a panel of five judges rules that the claims were without merit, since Lohan’s name and actual image was not used....
Disclaimer: Gaming Central does not vouch for the accuracy of any of these benchmarks. They were leaked online and were deleted soon after. However, a YouTuber by the name of Alex was able to quickly upload these on his channel. The AMD Radeon RX 480 is available in two variants, a 4 GB and 8 GB . Powered by 2304 cores, this card is capable of gameplay at very high resolutions and VR as well. Here are the specifications as given by TechPowerup. With these amazing specifications, it’s hard not to expect an equally amazing performance. And for a price tag of $200, the RX480 is a beast. Without further ado, let’s...
In less than a year after its release on the PC, Grand Theft Auto V has seen mods varying from incredible to ridiculous to ‘who the f**k asked for that’! Anyways, this latest mod has turned quiet a few heads, but changing a section of the immensely huge game map to look like the acclaimed Playstation exclusive title, The Last Of Us. The mod rips up the said section of the map, and gives it a desolate post-apocalyptic look, littered with destruction and urban foliage. The mod includes over 1600 elements that render it a look as that of the Last Of Us. It also adds over 60 wrecked vehicles and a custom safe house. The mod will require a beefy rig to run it, which isn’t all that surprising. You can watch the video here below: There are two mods at work in this video. The map is by Rapidiment,...
This week’s major updated games are: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman Arkham Knight. Batman Arkham Knight‘s PC version is still not fixed, and after delaying the Batgirl DLC, WB has announced that the latest patch for the game is coming on July 27th. No fixes have been detailed yet, but prepare for one massive patch notes section this time. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got a patch this week, the Patch 1.07, and it adds quite a bit, but it also reportedly causes performance slowdowns in consoles. CDPR is already calling it the “Largest patch for the game yet”. The patch is 7.3 GBs on consoles and around 2.2 GBs on the PC. The PC version is just a prep patch and apparently doesn’t do much, with the proper patch arriving soon. You can find a (rather too complete f...
