Ubisoft At E3 2017: What’s Confirmed/Expected

Ubisoft At E3 2017: What’s Confirmed/Expected

With E3 right around the corner and with the hype for it being at a maximum why not talk about what we can expect from certain Studios and what we would like to see from then. Today’s post is all about Ubisoft but nothing about their logo change. So let’s start off with the most anticipated game.

Assassins’ Creed Origins

Assassins’ Creed Origin or whatever might be the final name, is the series’ return after being on hiatus for a year following the release of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Ubisoft explained that they were taking a year off to iron out issues and deliver a more complete and better game to the fans. The main Assassins’ Creed series has until now always traveled to the future in every iteration but Origins takes it back to Ancient Egypt, a place that a lot of fans requested. It seems to be set in a time period before Altair so it will be interesting to see how the Brotherhood was.  Expectations are high for a better protagonist, new mechanics and mainly a good PC port that can actually run properly.

Far Cry 5

A sequel to one of the most fun game series out there. The trailer of going up against Christian Cultists has intrigued people and has caused controversy but we’re still getting more Far Cry. Ubisoft says this is the biggest Far Cry yet and after how huge FC4 was, I’m really excited to explore Hope County. They’ve introduced melee weapons so you can get up, close and personal with those damn cultists. With mountains and farmlands and so much greenery, I wonder how much destruction we can bring to this little County. What worries me and fans of the series is that it might be a reskinned Far Cry 4. We want something new, maybe new mechanics or a different formula. We can only wait for the gameplay trailer to know more about the game and more information about the DAMN RADIO TOWERS!

The Crew 2

The Crew looked promising but ended up being lackluster with people getting people bored of it really soon.  The idea of being able to drive around the United States with your crew and racing around really interested me and still does. I always thought it would be great to just ride your favourite car while listening to your favourite tunes alongside your crew-members. Ubisoft has always improved on their 2nd iteration of a game so here’s hoping that The Crew 2 is actually good.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Delays after delays after delays. Every time I get my hopes up that I’ll finally be able to play this game Ubisoft just hits us with another delay. The release date still says 17th October 2017 on Ubisoft’s websites so that gives me some hope. But hey, take your time and make this game great, its prequel was fantastic so I expect something of the same standard or even better. Also, we might just see the return of the Nosulus Rift, so we have that little gimmick to look forward to.

Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle

Ever since the image of this was leaked there have been multiple rumours about it. It’s supposed to be a turn-based RPG that will be a Switch exclusive which is not a surprise. There have been rumours about the amiibos for this and that they’re really bad looking but I just have one thing to say. This is fresh and looks very interesting and I’m all for that.  Paper Mario was a great turn based RPG game and if this is anything like that, this game is going to be one of the unexpected hits. Here’s hoping for information about this at E3

Just Dance 2018

Just Dance has always been there at Ubisoft’s Press Events and even though Just Dance 2017 for the Switch was shown in March of this year, I expect an announcement for the 2018 version. Now you might think, who cares about this but I have to ask you this, have you ever played Just Dance? It’s such a fun game to play and is available on almost every platform. It’s also a pretty great party game and I look forward to seeing how Ubisoft takes this franchise ahead

Well, that about wraps up the big announcement’s that we can expect from Ubisoft at E3 with the new IP being pushed to 2018. What Ubisoft game are you looking forward to and would like to know more about at E3? Let us know by commenting. Also since you’re here, why not  check out Sony at E3 and Bethesda at E3.
