With E3 right around the corner and with the hype for it being at a maximum why not talk about what we can expect from certain Studios and what we would like to see from then. The Crew Wild Run: Preview Impressions

I must admit to losing interesting alarmingly quickly in The Crew myself last year. This mainly had to do with the more rigid structures of some of the missions along the main campaign. It was clearly much more enjoyable when playing online in a crew, but perhaps I missed out on the greatness of The Crew by sticking with the career. It certainly seems as if Ivory Tower has focused on creating interesting content off to the side of the main missions with their expansion, and much of the new features are said to be based not only on player feedback, but on the actual metrics from the game. Monster trucks are one such addition. There are custom made arenas (I believe there are a total of five to find in the game world) that let you flip your monster truck in gravity-defying stunts in order to...

Ubisoft Announce Delay In The Crew’s Release Date

In rather sad news today, Ubisoft has delayed the release date for “The Crew” worldwide till 2nd December. The much awaited open world racer was previously set to come out  on the 11th of this month in North America and on the 14th in Europe. However the till the actual release of the game a second closed beta on Xbox One and PS4 is expected at some point in November.   “Our philosophy remains to deliver the best game possible. We’re all committed to delivering a revolutionary experience in the driving genre and we can’t wait for The Crew to be in the hands of the players.” said creative director Julian Gerighty

The Crew runs at 30FPS, 1080p on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

An Ubisoft rep had let slip the graphical benchmarks the team working on the open-world racer The Crew was hoping for–30 frames per second at resolution of 1080p on Xbox One, PlayStation and PC. This news came as a response to a forum member’s complaint that the PC beta test of the game is locked at 30 frames per second. An Ubisoft representative jumped in with this response–“The final game will run in 1080p with 30 frames per second on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and will support up to 5760 x 1080p on PC for triple screen set-ups,” the response reads. “Right now the team is focusing on providing an optimal experience for all players.”   Later, the community  manager would edit the reply to note that the development team is aiming for 60 f...

The Crew Announced For Xbox 360, not PS3

Ubisoft’s upcoming racing game The Crew is not a next gen and PC exclusive. The developer mentioned that the title is now also headed to Xbox 360, however there was no mention of the PS3 or Wii U versions. The Crew launches November 11 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. As for why this decision was taken by Ubisoft in bringing the game to a last-generation console, the publisher says it’s all about meeting gamers where they are, which honestly doesn’t make too much sense as PS3 and Wii U users weren’t accounted for. “It’s Ubisoft’s objective to continue to meet the needs of consumers who have not yet made the move to the new console generation,” Ubisoft marketing executive Tony Key said. “The Crew was originally built for the new gene...
