Breath Of The Wild Will Be The Last Nintendo Game For Wii U

Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Amie has now confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be the last official Nintendo game for the Wii U. Speaking to Polygon, Flis-Amie said, “From a first-party standpoint, there’s no new development coming after the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. We really are at the end of life for Wii U.” The Wii U had faced criticism since the beginning due to lack of titles, and as Nintendo prepares to fire all cylinders for the upcoming Switch, it only makes sense for the Wii U to fade to black. Nintendo also said that the older console will still be available for purchase at retail outlets for now, and that Nintendo’s online services won’t be shut down for it.
