Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition headlines December’s PlayStation Plus line-up Well, here we are folks, it’s very nearly that time of year again and with only one month of the year to go, we hope that 2017 has been good to you and that you’ve got some well-earned downtime to look forward to. In the coming months we’ll be taking a look back at some of the year’s best bits in the world of PlayStation (and there’s certainly plenty to choose from) but for now, with 2017 still alive and kicking and the month end in sight, it’s time to unwrap a brand new bundle of PS Plus games. Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition Forget your zombie apocalypses and your post-nuclear wastelands: the End Times OGs are here to show you how it’s done and they’ve brought a flaming ethereal horse – well, at least o...

The Big Three Giants In The Video Game Industry Keep Making Mistakes

The video industry is driven by three big giants; Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. Well, at least Sony and Microsoft undoubtedly, while Nintendo is like that cool kid who doesn’t need any comrades. If you ponder back at the revelation of Xbox One with a Kinect that nobody desired, it was a direct effect of the commercial success of Xbox 360. But on the contrary, I presume that 360 was rather more successful than One with its array of first party games and introduction to motion gaming. Motion gaming was something which was quite impressive at the time but soon lost its charm, yet Microsoft could not let go of the Kinect. In addition to that, there are just are just a handful of games for One’s Kinect. Then you’ve got Sony, who thought it would be a great idea to price the PS...

Playstation’s Biggest Game Studios & The Games They’re Working On

Sony’s first party studios have a tendency to deliver top of the class gaming experience since the dawn of PlayStation in 1994 with PlayStation 1 and studios like Santa Monica Studios and Insomniac games are a living witness to my words. Today, PlayStation is over 23 years old, and it has evolved into a community, a sensation and Sony’s first party studios are at the core of it. The studios are determined to make PS the best place to play with the titles they are working on. These titles are few of the most awaited gaming titles worldwide. Naughty Dog The legendary studio behind the Uncharted series and the emotional roller coaster ride, The Last of Us, is confirmed to be producing The Last of Us Part II. The trailer was released earlier this year at E3 2017. Santa Monica Studi...

Playstation 5 Confirmed By Sony’s CEO, Possible Release In 2019

While the Playstation 4 keeps doing better and better over time, Sony does have a new console in mind for the future, and it won’t be a half-step upgrade like the Playstation 4 Pro. In an interview with Golem.de, President and CEO of Sony America, Shawn Layden talked about their plans for future Playstation consoles, and had this to say: The Pro is really only to offer advantages such as 4K resolutions and HMD for players who can and want to use that. Add to this a more stable image rate and larger hard disk space. But who has a standard PS4 has no real disadvantages. Each of our games will continue to run on the classic PS4 and possibly better on the Pro. When asked specifically about the Playstation 5, he said, “Yes. It will probably be some time.“, hinting at a 2019 re...

Nioh’s Final DLC, Bloodshed’s End, Launches September 26

Nioh’s Final DLC, Bloodshed’s End, Launches September 26 I hope you all had a chance this summer to experience the legendary battles of our latest Nioh DLC, Defiant Honor! In order to keep the excitement alive, we’ve been hard at work on Nioh’s final DLC. It’s called Bloodshed’s End and it’s a perfect way to conclude the final chapter of the bloody Sengoku period. Our latest adventure picks up where we left off in Defiant Honor. The Siege of Osaka’s winter campaign was put to an end by a peace negotiation between Toyotomi and Tokugawa. However, conditions were harsh as Osaka Castle lost its secondary and tertiary enclosures, as well as its inner and outer moats, leaving just the main enclosure for the defeated. Inevitably, this situation led to an uprising and another war broke out just mo...
