Warner Bros. hint at “special” Arkham announcement for next week
UPDATE: Here’s their new year surprise It looks like the Batman Arkham franchise will be taking center stage once again as game developer Warner Bros. teased fans with a picture which asked to check back on the 31st of this month. The official Batman Arkham Facebook page teased this week that a “special announcement” will be made on December 31–New Year’s Eve. “Visit this page on December 31st for a special announcement…more details to come next week!,” they added. There is a chance that this message is teasing the story focused DLC for Origins which is to come out sometime early next year. Comic Con: Mumbai gets bigger this year.
Merry Christmas Gamers! We are back with a short summary of the awesome and fun 2nd Edition of Mumbai Film and Comics Convention, organised by Comic Con India, which kicked off on Saturday, December 21. The convention brought in comic book aficionados and movie buffs from all over. The event will continue on Sunday, December 22 at the same venue – Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai. The event, mirroring the International Comic-Con had various stalls which sold and promoted Indian as well as international comics, graphic novels, and tie-in merchandise. ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ DLC Season Pass Gets a Trailer
Onslaught, Devastation, Invasion, and Nemesis detailed. At $49.99, this year’s CoD Season Pass accounts for four main DLC drops, titled Onslaught, Devastation, Invasion, and Nemesis. There was never any question that Call of Duty: Ghosts would be following a similar route to other installments in offering its owners a DLC Season Pass, but now that the official trailer has been released, potential buyers can see exactly what they’ll be getting for their dollars. In short: new maps, in-game multiplayer items and customization options, and a new four-part episodic campaign in Ghosts‘ new ‘Extinction’ game mode. Dota 2 will now have Ranked Matchmaking
The next big update to Dota 2 will introduce ranked matchmaking features to the game. Valve said on its official blog the mode is “aimed at experienced players who want to play in a more competitive environment and know their matchmaking rating (MMR).” As of now, each player only has an invisible MMR. To access ranked matchmaking, Valve says you’ll have to play around 150 games – a significant time investment considering games can easily last 45 minutes or longer. If you want to play ranked games with friends, they’ll need to have access to ranked matchmaking as well. Once the update is released, players will enter a “calibration phase” of 10 games that determines their MMR. PS4 half a million ahead of Xbox One
PlayStation 4 is estimated to have sold around 1.25 million units in the US during November – around half a million more units than the Xbox One, according to predictions made by Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter. “We expect hardware sales of 1.25 million PS4 units and 750,000 Xbox One units in their debut month,” reads Wedbush’s November 2013 NPD Preview report. PS4 launched in the US on November 15 and achieved global sales of 2.1m by December 1, with 700,000 said to have been sold outside of North America.
