Comic Con: Mumbai gets bigger this year.

Merry Christmas Gamers! We are back with a short summary of the awesome and fun 2nd Edition of Mumbai Film and Comics Convention, organised by Comic Con India, which kicked off on Saturday, December 21. The convention brought in comic book aficionados and movie buffs from all over. The event will continue on Sunday, December 22 at the same venue – Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai.

The event, mirroring the International Comic-Con had various stalls which sold and promoted Indian as well as international comics, graphic novels, and tie-in merchandise. Workshops and Interactive Sessions were set up and got a good amount of attention from the crowd. Special screenings, previews and panels from upcoming Indian films were also shown.

Exclusive launches of Comics titles such as The Skull Rosary, Mixtape Vol.2, The Manual Of LoveGandhi – My Life Is My Message and more were conducted along with book signings. One of the most exciting elements of the conference, Cosplay (Costume Play) was a big hit, with many people dressing up as their favourite comic book characters. There was a cosplay contest as well, the winners of which got to choose from five categories with one lucky winner winning a Golden Ticket to the Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention 2014. Several parents brought their kids to the convention, possibly for the first time. The children were warmly greeted by popular cartoon characters, Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Games The Shop the leading Gaming Retail outlet in India received a huge response at Comic Con, Mumbai on 21st and 22nd December 2013. The gaming enthusiasts joined the carnival at Comic Con with Games The Shop this year. There was a huge crowd at the kiosk as all the game fanatics gathered to celebrate gaming. People from all the age groups wanted to get hands on the games. Just Dance 2014 was the favorite among all of them. Games The Shop gave away exclusive stickers, posters and gaming merchandise of popular titles. There were exclusive offers and discounts offered on recently released Blockbuster Titles and the Bestselling games as well.

Also Games The Shop sponsored the Cosplay for the Gaming Category this year. There was lot to experience and a lot more to offer as all the gaming fans left the kiosk with a smile on their face.
