The sorry saga of 505 Games’ Ashes Cricket 2013 continues beginning with one of the dumbest trailers in gaming history, it was supposed to appear in June this year. You know, in time for the Ashes. It didn’t make it, except they got lucky. The usual two year gap between the Australia Vs England bat-to-ball grudge series, they’ve started another one already, just a few months later. A fortuitous one-off anomaly allowing the game to slip five months and not suddenly be enormously out of date. So now, in time for the latest Ashes, it’s been released on PC alone. Microsoft sells over a million Xbox Ones in 24 hours
Microsoft on Friday said that more than a million Xbox One consoles were snapped up within 24 hours in 13 countries after hitting shelves for the first time in the morning. The US-based technology titan described it as the biggest launch in Xbox history, setting a new sales record at the company. Telltale Games working on a Game of Thrones game
Telltale Games, the creators of distinctive and well-received games like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, is reportedly working on a game based on George R. R. Martin’s fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire, aka Game of Thrones. Which parts of the Westerosi universe and what timeframe the game might follow are unclear, but the prospect isn’t coming completely out of the blue. Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea episode to release tomorrow
For all of you who’ve played & enjoyed Bioshock Infinite here is some awesome news 🙂 the first chunk of story DLC, set in that fragile underwater utopia/horrorshow, Rapture will be out tomorrow. Episode One throws Booker and Elizibeth back to a time to a point before Rapture transitioned from endless parties to mutant massacre. Ken Levine mentioned on Twitter that there will be new weapons, plasmids and gear, including an “old man winter” plasmid. I’m more excited about wandering around a still-living Rapture, as captured in this splendid piece of concept art for Bioshock 1. Part one of the DLC will be Booker-centric, while you might get to as Elizabeth in part two. Till then you can check out the awesome trailer.

Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Extinction mode Revealed
After rounds of teasing, leaks and slips, Infinity Ward has finally unveiled Extinction mode, a four player survival co-op mode that will be released with Call of Duty: Ghosts next month. The mode is a survival, wave based defence style that pits four players cooperatively against hordes of aliens. The trailer shows players using different classes to counter the aliens while working their way through the tree to get better equipment. Players are seen defending a drill that’s drilling into an alien hive carcass, from waves of angry aliens coming their way. The aliens are shown to have different classes, each with their unique abilities, such as exploding, high-jumping ones. Are you excited for this?
