The upcoming movie based on the Assassin’s Creed franchise has gotten a new trailer, and it seems like a recipe for disaster. The trailer shows off plenty of spectacular jumping and neck-stabbing action, where Michael Fassbender looks like a hardened criminal locked in jail. Not sure whether training him to kill in the ways of his 500 year old ancestors in the best idea in the world. However, it seems like Abstergo doesn’t have a problem with it (their funeral). In stark contrast to the Assassin’s Creed games, a majority of the movie will take place in the present rather than the past. Meaning, we can expect more of Fassbender rebelling against Abstergo instead of some Spanish Inquisition era assassinations. Actor Michael Fassbender had previously explained the reason beh...
This is probably the first year since 2009 in which we haven’t seen an Assassin’s Creed title (thank God for that!), and though a major title in the series is expeted to release next year, it may not happen after all. In an interview with Gamespot, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guilllemot said that Assassin’s Creed will be “back when it’s ready”, and we shouldn’t expect a sequel in 2017. “What we saw in the development of the next Assassin’s Creed was that we had an opportunity to take it to another level,” Guillemot said. “So we said we’ll take all the time it takes to make the experience fantastic. It was feasible because we have other games. There’s a huge potential in this game to revolutionise the IP, so we said, ‘...

In a somewhat awkward fumble by Naughty Dog, the latest story trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End had featured artwork from an Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag art book. While Ubisoft was quick to point it out, and Naughty Dog fixed that error promptly and rather gracefully, it did bring to mind the question whether the art work was used only in the painting set on the mantle or elsewhere in the game. To put it bluntly, was it used as a location in the game itself? If you watch the video carefully, you’ll notice that the locale shown right after the painting appears carries an uncanny resemblance. You can see the image below: If this does turn out to be the case, then Naughty Dog is surely scrambling to re-make this section of the game. Not only does any resemblance to ...

Assassin’s Creed has been a yearly release for a some time now, and therefore everyone is anticipating where this year’s release will be set, and what form it will take. Apparently though, Assassin’s Creed 2016 has been cancelled according to a developer who’s working on the project. The developer took to 4chan (via Autoomobile) and said the following: “Egypt. There won’t be an AC in 2016. You may screencap this and refer to it when nothing is shown in E3 2016. You’ll have to wait until 2017 for it. The reason: It will be a complete revamp of the series. The game is going for a Witcher feel, with player progression, freeform combat system. Horse is back, and boats too. It’s made by the Black Flag team. You may leave any question you want answ...
Video Games have let us live out our most wildest fantasies, and that’s only been possible through some of the most brutal weapons ever imagined. Well, here are some of the most badass weapons in Video Games. Tread carefully, some of them can explode! LightSaber | Any Star Wars Game No sword collection is complete without the Jedi Knight’s tool for battle, the lightsaber. Powered by rare crystals, the laser sword uses a beam of energy to slice through…anything, pretty much. Crowbar | Half Life Though Half-Life 2 came along and completely blew this weapon out of the water in terms of awesomeness – you’ll see later – Gordon Freeman’s trusty crowbar was the signature weapon of the original game, a crudely effective, brutal weapon with which you could smash headcrabs to bits....

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be releasing on PC worldwide on November 19, less than a month after the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. But why is it coming out after the console versions? Sam Kovalev, Studio Production Manager at Ubisoft Kiev, says the development team is dedicated to ensuring PC players get the most stable, optimized version of the game on day one. “We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilizing and optimizing the PC version very early on in the project,” says Kovalev. “This has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year.” But even with these new processes in place and everything running on schedule, the team still wants to let Assassin’s Cree...
