E3 2017 Highlights: Ubisoft Press Conference

E3 2017 Highlights: Ubisoft Press Conference

After for some reason showcasing Assassin’s Creed Origins during Microsoft’s Press Conference I wasn’t sure what Ubisoft was going to have to actually showcase that would hype people up or make the crowd go wild. I don’t think that would’ve happened either way but we did get a new IP that’s a full blown Pirates game so that’s cool. Anyway, here’s the highlights from Ubisoft’s Press Conference which did NOT include Aisha Tyler.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

15 years have passed and they finally announced this game. And the internet collectively lost their shit. After looking forward to a game for so long to finally seek the answers of the cliffhanger ending of the first game, they go ahead and give us a prequel. But hey, a new Beyond Good and Evil game is here so I guess, thanks Ubi?

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle

This game is XCOM for Nintendo basically. With Rabbids and Mario. Also, Shigeru Miyamoto was probably the best part of this announcement with his amazing entrance. Shame Nintendo doesn’t do live shows anymore cause I’ve missed this.

The Crew 2

Cars, boats, planes and INCEPTION?! The Crew 2 moves away from the NFS type underground sports scene to something new, something they were going for in the 1st game and that’s exploring and racing around all of USA. Now, we’ve got the ability to drive, fly a plane or drive a boat which can be switched in free roam at the push of a button. Honestly, I’m quite excited for this because it looks very different from what we have and they’re going for something very ambitious.

Transference

Elijah Wood and his company SpectreVision are coming up with a VR Thriller in collaboration with Ubisoft. From the video that we’ve seen it seems to be a psychological horror type of game. Its quite an interesting idea and I’d love to see more about it.

Skull & Bones

If you loved the Pirate aspect of Black Flag you will love this game. No Assassin’s or Templars just pirates going at each other for loot. The gameplay looks similar to that of Black Flag and sea shanties can also be heard but we’re still waiting on more information about the game.

Starlink: Battle of Atlas

Toys that connect to your controller to modify your ship in-game. Starlink looks like a space-exploration action adventure where we fight a bunch of baddies. What I wanna know is, how much are these toys going to cost and is this the future of DLCs? Seems like buying the toys isn’t necessary as it will also be digital.

Far Cry 5

We got a little sneak peek at Far Cry 5 and what we can expect from the game. We have a DOGGO NOW! That’s what I’m most excited about. Videogames need more Dog allies.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

JUST GIVE US THE GAME ALREADY PLEASE. Another trailer for the game with a release date of October 17th.

South Park: Phone Destroyer

A mobile game where you use cards to battle opponents. But it’s in the South Park Universe.

Steep: Road To Olympics Expansion

Steep is getting an Olympic Expansion in preparation for the Winter Olympics in Feb 2018. The Expansion comes out December 5th.

And they also had a Live Musical performance for Just Dance 2018 that comes out in October 2017.

That’s the Ubisoft Press Conference done and I must say, I’m quite excited for The Crew 2. Let us know what you thought about the press conference and stay tuned for more E3 highlights.
