E3 2017 Highlights: Sony Press Conference

The Press Conference I was most looking forward to personally and I was not disappointed. With Spider-Man, Days Gone, God of War and some interesting surprises you might say it made up for the lack of The Last of Us 2. Here are the highlights of the conference with some great games to look forward top. Days Gone We finally got an extended look at Days Gone and it looks like a lot fun. Riding your bike around, using a sort of detective vision, setting up traps, using the horde to your advantage and also fighting a BEAR ZOMBIE. God of War Kratos is back and he is still an absolute badass. We’re given a little more information about the story of the game and a glimpse at the combat which seems to be improved but still is similar to the core combat mechanics. The game visually looks godl...

What If Sunny Deol Was In Video Games?

Sunny Deol is known for many things, his acting and dancing not being the two of them. But his antics make him a perfect candidate for the main role in a lot of video games (unless you’re playing Dance Central), and it would be unfair if we didn’t honour the angry, not-so-young man on his birthday. So, here is our list of the top five games that would have been perfect for Mr. Deol. Sunny of War (God of War, duh) Kratos doesn’t hold a candle to our Sunny paaji. Let’s face it, the anger, the rage and the struggle, these are all iconic trademarks of this great man. The Greek Gods shit their pants when he roars. If you don’t believe me, check out this clip of this underrated superhero pulling out a hand pump from the ground and then tell me if Zeus stands a chanc...

Kratos Struggles With Hindi In This ‘God Of War 2016 Fan Made Trailer’

The first unofficial, completely useless, NSFW trailer for the God of War 2016?? Narrated by an Indian in Hindi with just one problem, he doesn’t read Hindi too well. Enjoy this onslaught of well, whatever this is. God of War is an upcoming third-person action-adventure video game in development by Santa Monica Studio and to be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) console. It will be the eighth installment in the God of War series, the eighth chronologically, and the sequel to 2010’s God of War III. The game will be a soft reboot for the franchise and will take the series to the world of Norse mythology—all previous games were based on Greek mythology. Series protagonist Kratos will return as the main character, and he now has a son. Kratos ac...

Sony @ E3 2016: Two Sides To Every Coin

Sony’s showcase at E3 2016 was a huge success, and nothing short of a spectacle. And how could it be? With a live orchestra, gorgeous games and huge titles, it was everything we expected it to be, and more. But there’s one small thing that seems to have slipped most people’s attention. Apart from Horizon: Zero Dawn, most the games that Sony announced are still “in development for PS4”. The footage from God of War is supposed to be an early first glimpse and no comments have yet been made regarding the release date for God of War. Similarly, Death Stranding, the new game from our beloved Hideo Kojima, is TBA regarding release. The same goes for Days Gone. Sony simply went ahead and gave us brief glimpses of it’s projects lined up for years down the line. Microsoft could’ve had t...

Next God of War in the works

Sony’s Santa Monica Studio is working on the next God of War title. News of the game’s development was dropped by creative director Cory Barlog during an audience Q&A session after a God of War retrospective at Sony’s PlayStation Experience this evening. Barlog wouldn’t go into details, but confirmed it wasn’t a prequel. It’s nice to know a new title is in the works, but don’t expect to hear more about until “the next year or two”, he told IGN. He also wouldn’t state whether Kratos will star in it or not. And so, the waiting game begins.

God of War director leaves Sony after 11 years

The director of the well know game God of War III, Stig Asmussen has left Sony Santa Monica, and reasons as to why he did so remains to be known. “SCEA can confirm that Stig Asmussen is no longer with Santa Monica Studio,” a Sony representative told IGN. Asmussen more than just a familiar face at Sony Santa Monica as he joined the company in 2003 and worked on God of War, God of War II and God of War III. He however did not work on God of War: Ascension and was leading development on a new IP that Sony shut down last month. Asmussen is reportedly interviewing in small studios but again we’re not totally sure where. Source:  Eddie Makuch

God of War director returns to Sony

Cory Barlog, former God of War director has returned to developer Sony Santa Monica after 6 long years. He left the studio in 2007 after serving as director of God of War 2 and an initial designer of God of War 3. Barlog has mentioned on the official PlayStation Blog, why he has returned and hints at his next “freaking huge” project. “What am I working on, you ask? Good question. Sadly, I cannot tell you…yet,” Barlog wrote in a PlayStation Blog entry. “But I can say that it is freaking huge, and it will live up to the standards that I helped establish here at SMS. We’re putting together a team as I type this, an Ocean’s 11 kind of thing. We are searching the world high and low for the best of the BEST to come and be on the ground floor of thi...
