EA looking into unavailable Battlefield 4 DLC on Xbox One

EA mentioned that it was going to be investigating reports that the Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC is, at the moment, unavailable to those who have bought Battlefield Premium on Xbox One. The DLC,  includes four Battlefield 3 maps updated for the latest title, and is an exclusive on Xbox One and will be free for paid-up members of the Premium service. But Premium users are having issues with this, and saying that a new entry on the in-game Battlefield store, where the Second Assault DLC would normally be found, is listed as NULL DATA. Battlefield 4 players all set to get double XP from DICE

Here is some fantastic news for all the Battlefield 4 players, since the worldwide release was not without technical glitches, so players will be happy to learn DICE is attempting to make good on those issues by offering double XP. From November 28-December 5, players across all platforms will earn double XP in every multiplayer match they complete, DICE announced today. “We understand that the launch issues may have impacted your progression, and we want to do everything we can to help you get back the XP that you may have lost,” DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson said. DLC Maps for Battlefield 4 released

Microsoft and EA have released their four multiplayer maps that are set to feature in Battlefield 4’s Second Assault DLC. This upcoming expansion pack will have four Battlefield 3 maps re-done using Frostbite 3 and a few modifications made to include new features. The maps are as follows- Operation Firestorm, Operation Metro, Caspian Border and Gulf of Oman. Second Assault is the first of five Battlefield 4 expansions due for release by the summer of 2014 and is scheduled to come out on Xbox One on November 22 and other platforms at a later date. Battlefield 4 “China Rising Expansion” Pack to come out soon

On the third of December, Premium Members can avail of the new ‘China Rising expansion pack’. DICE had actually updated the game’s Premium Calendar in light of the game’s release, confirming when the first DLC bundle will be available. ‘China Rising expansion pack’ is the first of five planned expansion packs and this pack includes four additional maps set across the Chinese mainland, new vehicles and equipment. Battlefield 4 Open Beta to come out in October

EA has announced that Battlefield 4 open Beta is set to come out on the 1st of October. In a blog post, the publisher revealed that the beta for the upcoming shooter will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC four weeks before it officially launches . EA had earlier mentioned that a weapons customization option would be present for this game earlier this month. Battlefield 4 officially launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on October 29 in North America, October 31 in Australia and November 1 in Europe. The Xbox One version will be available on November 19 in North America and November 21 in Europe, with the PlayStation 4 version launching November 12 in North America and November 29 in Europe. Call of Duty vs. Battlefield is good for Gamers

The ongoing struggle between Call of Duty and Battlefield for the top spot in the first-person shooter sector is a positive for the industry, EA Labels president Frank Gibeau told CVG in a new interview from Gamescom. Gibeau was asked if Battlefield 4 can outsell Call of Duty: Ghosts, to which he said his company’s game will attempt to “lap” Activision’s thanks to new services and innovation. Battlefiel 4: Weapons Customization option

DICE are really making this one count and are really raising the bar for FPS’. The firearm options have been expanded in Battlefield 4, providing soldiers with a variety of customization options for the weapons. To get a fair idea of how much DICE has done with this aspect and worked to improve the game, the amount of accessories has tripled for each gun plus each firearm has an increased amount of accessory slots now. A single assault rifle has the potential for 240,000 different set-ups in Battlefield 4. There are also many camouflage patterns to choose from, with 16 different sub-options for each pattern. Battlefield 4 to have vehicle testing range

Battlefield 4 will be introducing this new feature which will allow players to try out vehicles like helicopters before getting into the game proper. “We’ve definitely heard that people are afraid of getting in there [and using vehicles like helicopters] and that’s not our intent,” DICE creative director Lars Gustavsson told IGN. “So what we’ve done is, we’ve added a test range, which allows you to try out all the hardware ahead of time so that if you want to learn to fly a helicopter you can get in there and you can find the settings that work best for you.” “And then start doing some stunt flights just to feel safe before you go out and get the responsibility of a bunch of other people sitting in your helicopter,” he added. “So ...

Battlefield 4 Expansions Revealed

EA and DICE have announced the remaining expansion packages for Battlefield 4. Naval Strike, Dragon’s Teeth, and Final Stand will be included in the new pack alongside the previous China Rising and Second Assault. All weapons, maps, and content will be available for members of Battlefield Premium two weeks earlier. China Rising is scheduled to release this December while Naval Strike should come out some time in Spring next year, with Dragon’s Teeth and Final Stand coming out in the summer of 2014. DICE also announced a new mode called Obliteration, a one-bomb objective mode where teams have to hunt down an explosive that are replaced in random locations. Source: IGN  

Battlefield 4 Screenshots Leaked

Images reportedly showing off an alpha build of Battlefield 4 have leaked on site NSS. The images reveal loadouts, a map, menus and what’s clearly some very early in-game screenshots. This huge leak shows off Battlefield 4 screenshots of the menu, guns, dog tags, achievements, the new integrated social network, homescreen, weapons and its costumization and tons of in-game screenshots. Battlefield 4 will be available on the new generation and old generation consoles late October 2013. We are expecting to see more of the upcoming FPS from EA at E3 2013.
