Battlefield 4 has had a good year you could say. They have deployed several expansion packs, launched the Community Test Environment, and done several updates and tweaks to constantly improve the gameplay experience. With just having come out with Battlefield 4’s Final Stand they hope that they have given gamers a lot to chew on for the time being. However, the company gave us a slight insight into what they might have in store for the future. “However, there is one thing we want to assure you: there is more content coming for Battlefield 4.” They haven’t really given out too much about their plans for the future but they did say they will let us in on their schemes when the time is right. “We will share details on exactly what this new content will be,...
Battlefield 4’s final expansion, which I find so appropriately named “Final Stand” is releasing on the 18th of November according to the announcement made by Electronic Arts announced on its blog. The Final Stand DLC includes four arctic-themed maps and new, futuristic weapons. Battlefield 4 premium members get their hands on the content first before its out for the public on the 2nd of December. Final Stand features four maps–Operation Whiteout, Hammerhead, Hangar 21, and Giants of Karelia, all of which take place in wintry environments. Another aspect that is brought to the fore-front is the near-future weapons/gadgets such as a DS-3 DECOY gun attachment that emits false blips on enemies’ mini-maps and the XD-1 Accipiter, a remote-controlled, LMG-equipped drone.
Battlefield 4 has come back to EA’s “Game Time” promotion on Origin, which means that PC users can now play the game for free. EA is giving you seven days of free play, though the clock runs through your eating and sleeping time. But the good thing is that the time needed to install the game doesn’t get counted in the hours allotted for you to play. Once you get the game running, the clock will begin, and you’ll be notified in-game with how much time you have left. Those who want to buy Battlefield 4 when the game time ends do not have to worry about starting over, as the progress gets carried over. Battlefield 4 is not the only game available now through Game Time, though its duration of 168 hours is by far the longest. Others include Respawn Entertainment...

I think it is safe to say that EA had a hard time with Battlefield 4 when it was launched, as in that it didn’t ummmm….work. Fans were outraged when they found glitches in the game after eagerly awaiting its launch. However now there is no such issue anymore. And to perhaps celebrate this, Electronic Arts is re-releasing the game in Premium Edition form, with all add-on content included as part of the game’s season pass packed in. It’s a $60 package that hits retail on October 21, 2014. The weird thing is that the game is listed for release on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows and Xbox One, but not for Xbox 360. Battlefield 4 Premium Edition is pretty much the same as the main game plus a subscription to EA’s “Premium” season pass. Other than the five DLC add-ons — Second Assaul...
Final Stand, is Battlefield 4’s the last map pack for Premium subscribers. This DLC sends soldiers to the snowy mountain peaks of Russia, which would probably be a bit like the popular maps from Battlefield past like White Pass and Port Valdez. The pack includes four maps: Operation Whiteout, which takes place in a blizzard around a renewable energy array; Hammerhead, a lakeside forest environment; Giants of Karelia, a riverside location near a mountain base; and Hanger 21, which is set in a futuristic research facility housed in the mountainside. You can watch a trailer showcasing the new maps here: We are hoping for some twists and turns in these maps as DICE says it wants to “offer weapons and vehicles that behave differently than anything else on the battlefield…This...

All across the Gaming world a new debate is raging about 60 & 30 FPS. The current gen are locked at 30 FPS but games like The recently released inFamous: Second Son, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Killzone: Shadow Fall, were all running with an unlocked frame rate which rack upto 60 FPS. But a bigger question is whether Your Eyes Tell The Difference In Gameplay? 30 fps vs. 60 fps has been a hot topic these days. Most of the AAA games usually target 30 fps on consoles so that they can ramp up the graphics and use as much of the rendering budget on the graphics as they can. 60 fps is usually more expensive and to retain smooth 60 frames per second, developers have to compromise on graphical quality. Lets see a comparison between 30 vs 60 fps in various PC games (Sleeping Dogs, Dir...
