With thousands of you flying in from all over the country — even the world! — it’s time to provide a few more details on what awaits this December 3 and 4 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. The Game Awards, created by Geoff Keighley, is an annual awards ceremony to honor outstanding artistic, technical and gameplay achievements in the video game industry. Star Citizen Shows Off Procedural Planets V2 Demo At CitizenCon 2016
Star Citizen, the uber hyped upcoming space simulation title from Cloud Imperium Games has gotten a fresh new demo for CitizenCon 2016. Titled as Procedural Planets V2, the video shows a mission answering a distress beacon from a planet’s surface. As a sandstorm rolls in, you find a surprise lurking for you in the dunes, demonstrating the perils and the environment of the planet, along with the kind of weather systems that Cloud Imperium is planning to implement in the game. According to Chris Roberts, the demo is realtime and live in-game engine, and indeed one of the best videos we have seen about the game yet, in terms of both scale and content. New Quake Champions Trailer: Gratuitous Gore & Rail Guns
With QuakeCon underway in Dallas, Texas, gamers were expecting to get a look at Quake Champions by id Software, which was initially teased at E3 2016. While the E3 trailer was purely cinematic, Bethesda has now revealed a gameplay trailer for the new Quake Champions. The trailer is jam packed with action that Quake is known for. While it’s been years since a new Quake game has been revealed, this one seems like it will do justice to the franchise.
