Elder Scrolls Online Xbox One and PS4 release date to come out two months after PC
The Elder Scrolls, an upcoming MMO will come out for PC and Mac gamers on the 4th of April 2014, Bethesda had announced. The Elder Scrolls Online will surely make its way to the next gen consoles, however only sometime in June, the company said. “Other news with that announcement was that Bethesda released a new trailer for the upcoming subscription-based game, highlighting the conflict between The Elder Scrolls Online’s three factions and the massive PvP battles that follow.” Source: Martin Gaston
Angry Birds’ version of Mario Kart released
Rovio Entertainment launched Angry Birds Go! yesterday, a free-to-play kart racer spinoff of the Angry Birds series. This game came out yesterday for iOS, Windows Phone 8, Blackberry 10 and for Android devices on Google Play Store. Like various other free-to-play games, Angry Birds Go! is financed by various microtransactions. Despite being expectedly awful, the VGX awards did at least herald a new stampeded of gaming trailers and announcements. At the head of that pack was No Man’s Sky, which charged through the wilderness on the back of a procedurally generated spaceship. Dota 2 will now have Ranked Matchmaking
The next big update to Dota 2 will introduce ranked matchmaking features to the game. Valve said on its official blog the mode is “aimed at experienced players who want to play in a more competitive environment and know their matchmaking rating (MMR).” As of now, each player only has an invisible MMR. To access ranked matchmaking, Valve says you’ll have to play around 150 games – a significant time investment considering games can easily last 45 minutes or longer. If you want to play ranked games with friends, they’ll need to have access to ranked matchmaking as well. Once the update is released, players will enter a “calibration phase” of 10 games that determines their MMR. PS4 half a million ahead of Xbox One
PlayStation 4 is estimated to have sold around 1.25 million units in the US during November – around half a million more units than the Xbox One, according to predictions made by Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter. “We expect hardware sales of 1.25 million PS4 units and 750,000 Xbox One units in their debut month,” reads Wedbush’s November 2013 NPD Preview report. PS4 launched in the US on November 15 and achieved global sales of 2.1m by December 1, with 700,000 said to have been sold outside of North America. Xbox One launched in 13 territories on November 22, and sold-through over one million units at launch. The report forecasts Wii U sales of 150,000, 700,000 Xbox 360 sales and 550,000 PS3 units.
