I just noticed exactly how much of a difference the next gen consoles and the current gen consoles have on a game. The following gifs are of GTA V on a current gen console and on a next gen console and it will show you exactly what I mean.
As is evident from the pictures, Rockstar has added a lot more detail and texture to objects and surfaces which has a direct affect on the lighting and shadowing system, and improved skyboxes.
