We happy few is an upcoming independent psychological thriller survival which is being developed and published by Compulsion Games.
Set in a drug-fueled, retro futuristic city in an alternative 1960s England where the people are trying to escape from a lifetime of joy denial.
You must learn to hide in plain sight among the Joy-happy citizens of Wellington Wells, using stealth and combat u must survive the world and the people in it long enough to escape.
In alternate 1960’s England, you shall find a city, ravaged by war and rebuilt by delusion ally happy people thanks to the drugs they take which bring the joy in them and helps them ignore the harsh state of the city.
Everything appears to be happy in Wellington Wells, including the roads, the people, and its ever-present television personality, Uncle Jack, However this world is also on a world on the brink of collapse.
As you play, you’ll discover how the world came to be just so interestingly happy.
According to the developers the game is supposed to be highly repayable, From the game’s website
“If you die in “We Happy Few”, that’s it – there is no reloading your save. It’s designed to be replayed. Each time you die, you’ll restart in a brand new city, thanks to our procedural generation tech. You’ll be able to customize the world to your liking, and play through using multiple characters and playstyles. Each time, you’ll learn a little more about how to survive in Wellington Wells.”

The game in my opinion gives a Bioshock feel and I can’t wait to play it. The game is currently available in early access on steam and is coming to Xbox one preview as well.
