Thomas Was Alone is one of best Indie games you could play today. With a beautiful yet minimalist art style, consistently witty dialogue, and great background score, Thomas Was Alone is a joy to play.
Oxenfree
Mixing the natural and supernatural, while telling the story of growing pains of an average teenager, Oxenfree is an adventure style game set on an old military island. Things go wrong when your character, Alex, tunes into a radio frequency that lets her communicate with mysterious spectres.
Telltale Games Series
From The Walking Dead to now Guardians Of The Galaxy, Telltale has been making some of the best narrative driven games. Albeit the issues with it’s outdated engine, the games always capture the imagination with the emotionally powerful stories they tell, while keeping you even more invested by making your choices matter.
Sunless Sea
Travel across an unknown ocean, as you set eyes on unfathomable treasure. Be wary however, travel too far from civilization, and soon the dangers of the ocean beset you, and your crew can lose their sanity. With fantastic story telling, and a compelling adventure, Sunless Sea is a masterpiece.
Binding Of Isaac
After escaping from being sacrificed to God by his own mother, Isaac now needs to battle numerous enemies, including his brother, his own fears, and finally his mother. With randomly generated locations, items, and enemies, playing Binding Of Isaac is like a new experience every time.
XCOM: Enemy Within
Acclaimed to be among the best tactics games every, XCOM: Enemy Within expands upon the series’ staple formula, and has you fighting against alien forces to defend your home planet. With a wide array of tactical abilities and an arsenal of weapons at your disposal, XCOM offers great depth in gameplay, allowing you to play your way.
GTA Series
GTA’s open world sandbox gameplay is unmatched till date. With always a satirical story to tell, filled with a quirky cast of characters, and excellent gunplay, Grand Theft Auto on smartphones is absolutely fun to play. One of my personal favorites, GTA Chinatown Wars is what I would recommend to anyone wanting to try GTA on smartphones.
Grim Fandango Remastered
Winner of numerous Game OF the Year awards, Grim Fandango tells the tale of Manny Calavera, a travel agent at the Department Of Death, who sells luxury packages to souls on their journey to eternal death. Considered to be among the best adventure games of all time, Grim Fandango Remastered is the best way to experience it.
Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery EP
Another action adventure game, with a unique art and sound design. Built in social media tools for getting help from friends adds an interesting layer to the game. Oh, and the music by Jim Guthrie is just fantastic.

Oh this was a fantastic list. I didn’t even know that these games were available on mobile. The biggest shocker was GTA Chinatown Wars. I have it for the VITA but the graphics are way cooler and cleaner for the Android. Thanks for this amazing list.
