It has not been much time since we heard about the alleged “PlayStation 4.5” and now we already have indications towards a new Xbox One. The information comes thanks to a NeoGaf member who originally posted this new piece of information hinting towards a new Xbox One Revision. The information states two FCC filings by Microsoft, both filed in March, for wireless radio devices. The filing for part number 1683 appears to have clear ties to the original Xbox One’s WLAN module FCC filing, as both include a 202kB “user manual” PDF with a “1525” model number designation—and in the old filing’s case, that brings up a guide to the Xbox One’s legal warnings. While the other FCC filing for part number 1682 has a few differences, including a lengthier list of...
It’s a great that many of the Xbox One exclusives are coming to PC. However, there is one question which still remains in the minds of many. Where is Halo 5? Phil Spencer had an answer to this specific question later during a media Q&A at Microsoft’s Build 2016 conference, attempting to explain why some games will remain exclusive to particular platforms like Xbox One. Spencer stated that “all” Microsoft published games will hit both platforms. Games will release for Xbox or Windows 10 depending on their suitability for either platform. By using RTS, Ashes of The Singularity as an example, Spencer stated that it’s not a great fit for console, even though Xbox One will get mouse and keyboard support during its lifespan. “If I enable keyboard and mouse on a ...
It’s been some time since The Division released and I have seen many hate posts on social media, groups etc. regarding the game. All these posts made me wonder, what was wrong with the game because of which it is getting this kind of hate. Is it the typical Ubisoft game hate? Or something else. This made me do some research, so that I can find the major reasons behind all this. The most common hate reasons are: The game was downgraded and the optimization is not good on PC. This is somewhat understandable since I’ve faced this even on my Titan X, which is not able to play the game on constant 60 fps on Ultra (I’m playing on high-ultra with 40+ FPS). Other than that there many other complaints such as the downgrade, since the game looked much better in E3 trailers. Which does no...
With Microsoft announcing that Rocket League is getting cross-network play on Xbox One and PC, the tech firm wasn’t content to rest on its laurels. As it happens, on top of the reveal for Psyonix’s sports game being the first title to be available for the Xbox Live’s cross-platform functionality, Microsoft also made it known that the company’s current generation console will be providing native support for cross-platform play between Xbox One, Windows 10, and other “online multiplayer networks,” implying it would be possible for PlayStation 4 to join in as well. Of course, Microsoft didn’t directly call on any particular console like Sony’s or speak specifically to services such as Electronic Arts’ Origin to make the leap, but the Washington-based multinational has definitely made it clear...
In what might be another proof of Xbox One’s underwhelming sales, Fable Legends has been cancelled, Microsoft has announced. The company said the decision was done after “much consideration.” Lionhead Studios, Peter Molyneux’s former home, developers of the Fable series, will also be shut down. The sudden announcement also revealed that Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Kalimba developers Press Play, is also closing down. Fable Legends was announced in early 2014. Lionhead said at the time it marks the start of a new games-as-a-service model. The game was due for release in 2015, but kept getting pushed. Its beta also suffered numerous delays. Earlier this year, Microsoft named it as one of its Windows and Xbox One titles due in 2016. Legends featured asymmetrical, 4v1 multiplayer an...
