Monolith recently announced that their upcoming title Middle Earth: Shadow of War is going to have microtransactions, and the response is quite negative, to say the least. A major part of the community feels naturally repulsive when it comes to microtransactions, and it’s completely understandable. The track record of of such transactions hasn’t been great, thanks to the good folks like those at EA. More often than not, they end up being counter-productive for the players. But here’s the thing. The way Monolith is going about the concept in their game, they couldn’t have done a better job. For a crash course, here’s how the Shadow of War currency system works. It comes in two forms, Myrian (in-game) and gold (which is real money). Also, whatever you can buy wi...

Monolith has released a new gameplay trailer for Middle Earth: Shadow of War, that explains the new Nemesis system in a little more detail. For the uninitiated, the Nemesis system was introduced in Shadow of Mordor and was a way of keeping a track of the player’s actions in battle. Should you fail to kill an enemy, or worse, fall prey to him, that foe would be promoted and become more powerful. Not only this, but the next time you went to fight them, they would even reference the previous fight and your failure. The new Nemesis system in Shadow of War expands upon the original one, extending to buildings and fortresses. In order to capture a fortress, you must weaken it by taking out some of the key generals/war chiefs before you can actually take down the overlord. The overlord̵...
The official gameplay video for Warner Bros and Monolith’s upcoming title Shadow of War is supposed to be released on 8th March. Building up to the hype, the publisher has released a short ( I mean, really really short) teaser that offers a glimpse of what we can expect from the game. The teaser doesn’t reveal much (You don’t say , huh) but it does have something really cool. Talion can be seen riding a winged beast majestically over the battlefield, possibly a drake, which gives me hope that we might actually get to do that in the game. The five second clip closes with the ranger raising his sword in the air as an army of Orcs can be seen behind him. Shadow of War is the sequel to 2014’s Shadow of Middle Earth, and was announced last week following a leak. It is ...
Over the weekend, the sequel to Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor was leaked as Shadow of War, and shortly after that, WB Studios announced the official release date. Now, normally, we’d have to wait some time before we get to see the system requirements, but not in this case. Which definitely comes as a pleasant surprise. Feast your eyes upon the specs you need to run the game, and for the ones who don’t have meet the requirements, sit in the corner and weep (like I did). Minimum: OS: Windows 7 SP1 with Platform Update for Windows 7 Processor: Intel i5-2550K, 3.4 GHz Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: GeForce GTX 670 | Radeon HD 7950 DirectX: Version 11 Network: Broadband Internet connection Storage: 60 GB available space Recommended: OS: Windows 10 version 14393.102 or higher required ...
Soon after the game was leaked recently, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the release date for Middle Earth: Shadow of War, along with the announcement trailer. Shadow of War will feature the return of Talion and Cerebrimbor as the Blight Lord, on a quest to infiltrate the armies of Mordor and turn them against Sauron, the Dark Lord.
