New Sonic Forces Video Showcases New Classic Sonic Stage Today, SEGA released brand new footage from its highly anticipated new Sonic title, Sonic Forces. Sonic Mania Competitive Multiplayer Mode Gameplay Revealed

Sega has revealed that a new “Competition Mode” will be an additional mode the upcoming Sonic Mania. In Competition Mode, winners are determined by factors such as clear time, score, number of items acquired, number of rings acquired when clearing a level, and total number of rings acquired throughout the level. Players can adjust the rules of each match by adjusting items in the item boxes and number of rounds that take place. Sonic Mania Unveils Bonus Stages and Time Attack Mode

Following SEGA’s San Diego Comic-Con announcement that Special Stages will be a feature in Sonic Mania, today the team revealed that Bonus Stages (“Blue Spheres”) and Time Attack have also been included in the game. In “Blue Spheres”, players navigate Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles through a series of blue spheres to clear the stage. But be careful! Once touched, the blue spheres will turn red. Touching a red sphere instantly ends the Bonus Stage. Silver Medallions are awarded to players who complete the Bonus Stage, while collecting all the blue spheres and rings awards players with a perfect score and a Gold Medallion. I mean his nickname is “The Dragon of Dojima” after all, but even he can agree that getting help isn’t a sign of weakness, particularly if aid comes in the form of free Yakuza Kiwami DLC that we’ll be releasing throughout this September!
