Take-Two (Rockstar/2K) Believes Gaming Will Be 100% Digital In 5-20 Years, Loot Boxes Aren’t Gambling

“Don’t expect NBA 2K38 to come on a disc.” said Take-Two Interactive’s President Karl Slatoff at the Credit Suisse 21st Annual Technology, Media & Telecom Conference. There is no doubt on the fact that the trend to purchase video games digitally has grown rapidly. The online distributors do such as Steam do offer heavy discounts and other benefits, making them a preferable choice over physical copies. According to Statista, in 2009, 20% of game sales were digital and 80% were physical. I 2016, a whopping 74% of game sales were digital and 26% were physical. These numbers are only growing and if you take Slatoff’s word for it, games will be sold 100% digitally in the coming decades. The shift to a digital market has persuaded the publishers to pursue business mod...

Is Rockstar Getting Greedy With GTA Online?

There is certainly no doubt that Rockstar is great video game developer (My personal favourite) and their games are all very well received. The addition of GTA Online along GTA V was not an exception. GTA online has been receiving regular updates (at least on the next generation consoles and PCs) and DLCs free of cost. But are these DLCs really free? I believe not. Everything going on with Grand Theft Auto Online as of late could make one wonder if priorities have shifted in the worst possible way. Have Rockstar’s priorities shifted from making great games to make most out of their loyal fans? Pondering over the addition of the so-called ‘Shark Cards’, it does seem very likely. It appears as if money is becoming their main priority, instead of delivering a full gaming exp...

Red Dead Redemption 2 New Trailer Coming September 28

Rockstar Games has tweeted out an image with a red background and the Red Dead font, teasing that something will be revealed about the game on 28th September which most likely seems to be a trailer. We’re expecting them to do the same thing they did with the GTA V trailer by showcasing the setting and some of the characters and activities without giving out too much information. However, this is all speculation at this moment but I’m just glad we’ll get more information about this game, maybe even confirmation of a PC port. Top 50 Game Developers/Publishers Indian Gamers Should Know About (Part 1)

While playing Destiny 2 on our livestreams recently, I realized that many from our Indian audience had no idea about Bungie, and their legacy. As the conversation went on, I learnt that many gamers in India do not know too much about some of the biggest game developers, and had not even heard of the smaller ones. So we decided to put together a list of game developers and publishers that we feel that most gamers should know about. Starting off, we’ll be looking at some of the biggest names in the gaming industry, and then head on to the smaller studios. Also, we will have Indian game developers added to the list in upcoming parts. Ubisoft Known For: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Prince Of Persia, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six Currently Working On: Assassin’s Creed:...

Actor Lists GTA 6 Motion Capture On His Resume, Turns Out It’s Fake

The resume for actor Tim Neff lists motion capture work for an unannounced Grand Theft Auto VI. The actor also lists motion capture work for Red Dead Redemption 2, another Rockstar Games title, which is due out in spring 2018. The resume is reportedly fake. PCGamesN got in touch with Tim Neff, the actor in question, who had this to say: “That isn’t my page, account or resume. I don’t even know that website. I worked on Grand Theft Auto V a long time ago and haven’t done anything since. Sorry for the confusion. It seems I’m being trolled online really badly.” [interaction id=”597b03886f3d040c0fa901cb”] The latest entry in the series, Grand Theft Auto V, first launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions were released in November ...

Red Dead Redemption 2 Not on the Same Level as GTA 5

As Red Dead Redemption 2 is on the horizon, we are really excited for the game and have really high expectations from the game as the previous iteration of the game was one to best games for the last generation and we also have utter faith in Rockstar Games. Although in a recent interview with Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, he stated that- “What the team is doing is trying to make the best possible game they can, and if they succeed… Look, the reason, in my opinion, why GTA V has sold 80m units, and GTA Online had another record year 3-and-a-half years since its release, is because it stands alone in the generation.” [interaction id=”5976f6c53f3b30a27917503a”] We might be having expectations from the game but Take Two believes that Red Dead is on a different level that GTA...

After Massive Fan Outcry, GTA V Modding Returns, But With Some Caveats

After Take-Two decided to send a C&D letter to the developer of OpenIV and basically shutting down the single player modding scene, people were upset and angry about it were very vocal about it. This seems to have worked from the looks of it because OpenIV just got an update. Although it’s a small update, this confirms that OpenIV is back! That’s not all though because the credits section of OpenIV contains a “Special Thanks” to Rockstar Games along with the fact that Rockstar game’s retweeted a tweet from Motherboard which talks about them saving “an uber popular modding tool” for GTA V, which can mean that Rockstar has spoken to Take-Two about this. While there’s yet to be an official confirmation from Rockstar, this is what they had to...

L.A. Noire Remaster to have VR (RUMOUR)

Rumors about an upgraded re-release of Rockstar’s detective adventure LA Noire are once again spreading.  The initial rumours stated it was going to be a Switch exclusive remaster which was tweeted by Rockstar Insider ” Yan2295″ According to what I heard, Rockstar might be releasing a remastered version of L.A. Noire on the Nintendo Switch. — Yan2295 (@Yan2295) 15 January 2017 And then about 10 days later “Direct Feed Games” tweeted that the game would be for Playstation 4, Xbox One and Switch for a late summer release in 2017. Regarding LA Noire Remaster, the title is sounding like it’ll come to Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. Release slated for late summer. — Direct-Feed Games (@DirectFeedGames) 25 January 2017 Now recently have stated that the...

GTA V Is Getting Hammered By Steam User Reviews Since Take-Two Banned Modding

After Take-Two have essentially banned modding for Grand Theft Auto V, the whole gaming community, especially PC gamers have come together to make it known that they are not pleased with the decision. There are numerous threads on NeoGAF and Reddit with people complaining about this decision while defending OpenIV, the tool that was banned. The community has been leaving negative reviews on Steam which has seen the game’s overall rating go from Overwhelmingly Positive to Mixed and recent rating to Overwhelmingly Negative. Players have also decided to boycott Take-Two games with many users urging people to let Take-Two know with your wallet. Games from Take-Two includes the Borderlands series, The Red Dead series, the WWE 2K games. Players are also not playing the game to show that th...

Bully merchandise under “New Arrivals” in the Rockstar Online Store

With the Bully sequel being published by Game Informer and then denying hearing about a sequel, Rockstar has now put up Bully Merchandise on their online store. The timing does seem very fishy and seems like there might be a Bully sequel that’ll  be announced or maybe even a Remaster? We just want more Bully so if it’s in the work that will be awesome. Bully 2 Leaked by Game Informer?

A Reddit user spotted that Game Informer had listed Bully 2: Kevin’s Back Jack for PlayStation 4 on their website. Game Informer later went on to state that it was a mistake and that they had not recieved any information about a Bully sequel. It would be kinda weird to see an announcement for a Bully Sequel considering that Read Dead Redemption is currently in the works.
