Sony blocking Cross-Play for Profit?

With recent announcements that Minecraft will allow cross-play between all the platforms and Rocket League for the Switch also announcing that it’ll feature cross-play, Sony has made a strange decision and have blocked cross-play on their platforms. The reasoning behind this decision is very weak and quite frankly, not a smart one but what do we “players” know. In an interview with Eurogamer, PlayStation global sales and marketing head Jim Ryan had this to say, “We’ve got to be mindful of our responsibility to our install base”, he says. “Minecraft – the demographic playing that, you know as well as I do, it’s all ages but it’s also very young. We have a contract with the people who go online with us, that we look after them and they are within the PlayStation...

E3 2017 Highlights: Nintendo Press Conference

The final press conference of E3 was arguably one of the best showings according to a lot of people, stating that Nintendo won E3 this year. Nintendo showed off games that they had announced while also announcing and teasing sequels.  So let’s get started with the highlights. Super Mario Odyssey SUPA MARIO IS BACK BABY! This game trailer had sooo much in such little time that I don’t even know where to begin. Mario can now possess people with his hat, such a huge variety of levels, exploring NYC while riding on a scooter or becoming a taxi, Bowser about to marry Peach, and what seems to be a Jazz soundtrack. Just like they did with Zelda, this might be it for Mario. It just looks like tons of fun. This game comes out on 17th October and I am certainly looking forward to it. Xen...

Blizzard Issues Warning Against Lucioball’s Character Changing Exploit

Lucioball is the latest mode in Blizzard’s highly successful, ever-in-controversy Overwatch, an online competitive shooter. It allows changes the title to a more Rocket League-style game, and is centered around the Brazillian rollerblading, parkour-ing character, Lucio, whose moveset seems to be fir for this mode. However, due to a glitch, it is possible for a player to enter the mode as another hero, which is not meant to happen. I mean, otherwise we’d all have Bastion as the goalkeeper. And Tracer would make a cool cheerleader, but I digress. At first, the bug seemed to occur at random, but some players have apparently figured out how to make it happen intentionally, which in turn has rendered Blizzard to issue a warning against the players who seem to be doing so. “Apologies...

Rocket Cars And Football, Because Why Not?! – Rocket League Collector’s Edition Review

A few years ago, if someone had said that you should play football with rocket fueled cars in a thunderdome style environment, they would’ve been quickly dismissed as a crazy, maybe psychotic person. But this is exactly what gave birth to something that almost everyone has come to love – Rocket League. The game has the players engulfed in a frenzy, and it’s hard to think of any reasons of why it shouldn’t. Psyonix’s new game on the block is a perfect blend of strategy and speed, requiring the players to make split-second decisions, while acrobatically flying across a football arena, trying to score against the opponents. The approach is pretty simple. You’re placed in a football field in a 1v1 / 2v2/ 4v4 match, and all you need to do is get past the defe...
