Sony has two new PS4 models in the works, one with a 1TB hard drive. The leak comes via the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) who have published documents relating to the two new consumer SKUs. DualShockers spotted the documentation, which reveals the model numbers as CUH-1215A and CUH-1215B, the latter of which has the expanded hard drive, the former with the original 500GB hard disk. They also come with new power supplies with lower output than the current ones – rated at 230W and 2.3-0.95A compared to the previous 250W and 2.5-1.15A. Sony recently published a master list of the 100+ PlayStation 4 games that will be available on the platform by the end of the year. The list includes previously released titles like Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Thief, as well as much-anticipated upcoming games like Batman Arkham Knight and Assassin’s Creed Unity. The list also does not include this year’s Call of Duty title from Sledgehammer Games, but that’s probably because Activision has yet to announce platforms for the new game. One of the most anticipated role-playing games The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been delayed from fall 2014 to February 2015. CD Projekt Red management announced this in an open letter to fans. The studio comments that though The Witcher 3 was slated for this fall for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, but explained that the extra few months of development time should allow the game to achieve a level of quality that will set it apart from other role-playing games. Here is some fantastic news for all the Battlefield 4 players, since the worldwide release was not without technical glitches, so players will be happy to learn DICE is attempting to make good on those issues by offering double XP. From November 28-December 5, players across all platforms will earn double XP in every multiplayer match they complete, DICE announced today. “We understand that the launch issues may have impacted your progression, and we want to do everything we can to help you get back the XP that you may have lost,” DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson said. As strange as this sounds, the PS4 is most like to not support playback of 3D Blu-rays, according to the online user guide (spotted by TheSixthAxis). Even though DVDs and Blu-rays are fully supported and CD support is to be put into the system, the “Playing video on disc” section of the User Guide says that 3D Blu-rays are not supported. Weirdly enough, the PS3 plays 3D Blu-rays without any issues, which makes this even more strange. Sony has left 3D by the wayside in the past two years, having attempted to push it hard in the middle years of PS3’s lifespan. This would appear to be another nail in its coffin.
