Ubisoft sure has learned a thing or 17 from it’s past failures, and Watch Dogs 2 is a culmination of all that learning, without rectifying all of the mistakes. Right off the bat, the game sets the tone for a vibrant, pop culture, social media and internet trends-driven cyber society, and puts you in the shoes of a young, very millennial hacker, Marcus Holloway. And that in itself shows how much Ubisoft wants to get away from the baggage that the franchise has from the first game in the series. Instead of a whiny-little-cunt of a protagonist, plodding through a drab city, we have a young fella, who just wants to gain social media followers, and bring about digital justice across the world. And the world in itself, set in San Francisco, is a colorful and rather accurate (and at times e...

Now if you’re a fan of the Iron Giant, well, Titanfall 2 is just like the Iron Giant except on steroids. The sequel was far better than I had expected it to be and I’m sure that’s the thought a lot of you have. Like, holy cow Batman, this is far better than Call of Duty! Are we sure the devs from Respawn worked on Call of Duty? I went into this game blind, not knowing what it was going to offer and no, I haven’t played the first Titanfall. The game starts with assuming control of Rifleman Jack Cooper from the Frontier Militia, a quick training level which introduces the player to the different moves like sliding and wall running and the different weapons available in the game. There’s even a quick time trial right at the end of the training and then comes the moment we all were waiting fo...

Here’s the story of Sombra, the world’s most notorious hacker: Long before she took up the alias “Sombra,” she was among the thousands of children who were left orphaned in the aftermath of the Omnic Crisis. With much of her country’s infrastructure destroyed, she survived by utilizing her natural gifts with hacking and computers. After was taken in by Mexico’s Los Muertos gang, she aided it in its self-styled revolution against the government. Los Muertos believed that the rebuilding of Mexico had primarily benefited the rich and the influential, leaving behind those who were most in need of assistance. Following her many conquests, was supremely confident in her skills, but she...
Earlier this year, Kickstarter saw a cute little hand-painted project born out of the minds of Rex Crowle and Moo Yu, who have previously worked on titles like LittleBigPlanet and Ratchet & Clank. Called Knights and Bikes, the game has now bagged Double Fine as the publisher. The game is set in the late 1980s on a fictional British Island and draws inspiration from The Goonies and 90s JRPGs. Your heroes are Nessa and Demelza, tasked with cycling around the island, pedalling their way into troubles with frisbees and water balloons. In short, this game might be just perfect to take you back to your childhood, when every little thing would fill you with wonder and amazement. You can watch the trailer for the game below: Here’s what Moo Yu had to say about the partneship, “I’ve...
King Art Games has announced their new RTS, set in an alternate world history following the events of World War I. The game was announced via a Facebook post, and is currently under development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Not a lot of details have been provided, but King Art says that the game will feature sandbox-style open levels and a dynamic story. Iron Harvest has taken inspiration from titles like Company of Heroes and Men at War. Jakub Rozalski, the artist who created the alternate world also says that the game might also have a hint of XCOM. The world of Iron Harvest will revolve around three factions: The Saxony Empire is one of the most influential countries in Europe, with powerful industry, developed cities, modern factories and a strong military tradition. Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare does not seem to be able to catch a break. From anti-fans taking up pitch forks to dislike its trailers making it one of the most disliked videos on YouTube, to initial sales being significantly lower than before, there seems to be no end to the troubles the blockbuster shooter is coming upon of late. And now, post launch, players have discovered that the already small and fragmented PC player base is being further fragmented between gamers who buy Infinite Warfare from Steam and those three dumbfucks who buy it from the Windows Store, as both of those segments of gamers will not be able to play with each other on PC. The matter has gotten so bad, and serious that Windows Store has gone so far as to refunding disgruntled gamers who bought Infinite Warfare. Her...
Titanfall 2 was one of the most awaited titles this year, but it seems to have failed to live up to the bar set by its predecessor. According to Chart-Track, the game has thoroughly unperformed during its first week of sales. The newly released sci-fi shooter sold only far less copies compared to original Titanfall, falling at the fourth position in the UK charts behind Battlefield 1, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition, and FIFA 17. Its predecessor, however, was able to secure the top spot for over four weeks despite being an Xbox and PC exclusive. It seems like multi-platform support hasn’t been enough to garner enough fans for the game. Much before the release of Titanfall 2, Respawn Entertainment had announced that all the DLC Maps and Modes will be absolutely free of cost....
