343 is trying to revive Halo 2’s infamous ‘Earth City’ E3 demo

Corona has taken many structures consistently, and left pieces of those improvement ways going as far as possible back to when being a RTS on Mac was assumed. This week, Halo guardian 343 Industries declared a gigantic venture to get those pieces, working with modders to carry cut content once more into The Master Chief Collection. In a bulky blog entry named Cutting Room Floor (opens in new tab), 343 uncovered that confidential “Digsite” project has been chipping away at gathering cut content, yet repairing half-completed resources for make them work inside the ongoing Halo MCC passages. Working with modders like General_101, Con, Num0005, Scruffy, Sean T, Ludus, and Zeddikins, 343 has parted Digsite into two groups — Digsite Alpha for pre-discharge Halo: Combat Evolved conten...

Split Screen Gaming: The Rise And Fall

As someone who grew up playing video games, there’s an itch that no modern day game has been able to scratch. I’m talking about split screen couch co-op gaming. Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s as a gamer, we all had friends and siblings with whom we would play games with. It could have just been passing the controller around or watching someone play while you sat, but the best thing ever was to play together. Huddled around a small television, laughing, calling out each other for screen cheating and then getting scolded by your parents because you were making too much noise is honestly one of my fondest memories not just related to gaming but in general. Split Beginnings It all started back with GoldenEye on the N64 that had a 4 player split screen deathmatch mode. The mode was so po...

Halo 5 On The PC May Spell Disaster For The Xbox One

It’s a great that many of the Xbox One exclusives are coming to PC. However, there is one question which still remains in the minds of many. Where is Halo 5? Phil Spencer had an answer to this specific question later during a media Q&A at Microsoft’s Build 2016 conference, attempting to explain why some games will remain exclusive to particular platforms like Xbox One. Spencer stated that “all” Microsoft published games will hit both platforms. Games will release for Xbox or Windows 10 depending on their suitability for either platform. By using RTS, Ashes of The Singularity as an example, Spencer stated that it’s not a great fit for console, even though Xbox One will get mouse and keyboard support during its lifespan. “If I enable keyboard and mouse on a ...

Spotted: Halo – The Fall of Reach Animated Series Trailer

Halo: The Fall of Reach is getting a new animated series. This is the third time this story is getting told, first as a book by Eric Nylund, second as three four-issue comic book series published by Marvel, and now the animated series. The meat of the book takes place in the times before the original trilogy and concerns the pre-war human empire, the murky past of SPARTAN program and origins of Master Chief. The series has a very strong plot (I read the book and the comic. What? I was 15 and a huge Halo fan) and handles delicate topics like the morality during wars and the amount of war atrocities a government can get away with during war times, and we expect the series to be as good as it’s predecessor, Halo Legends. Halo Legends is an awesome watch by the way, boasting talent like ...
