Are We Getting Another Xbox Soon?

It has not been much time since we heard about the alleged “PlayStation 4.5” and now we already have indications towards a new Xbox One. The information comes thanks to a NeoGaf member who originally posted this new piece of information hinting towards a new Xbox One Revision. The information states two FCC filings by Microsoft, both filed in March, for wireless radio devices. The filing for part number 1683 appears to have clear ties to the original Xbox One’s WLAN module FCC filing, as both include a 202kB “user manual” PDF with a “1525” model number designation—and in the old filing’s case, that brings up a guide to the Xbox One’s legal warnings. While the other FCC filing for part number 1682 has a few differences, including a lengthier list of...

Now Get Custom-Made Glasses For Virtual Reality Headsets

A lot of gamers wear glasses while gaming, including me. And with the arrival of VR gaming, a lot of us wondered how are we going to wear the headset with the glasses? We don’t want to experience a blurry VR world, now do we? Well, a new Kickstarter campaign just might have a solution for us. Introducing VR Lens Lab, a Germany based campaign/project which can build glasses for your virtual reality headset inside your virtual reality headset. From their Kickstarter page “Right now, if users don’t wear contact lenses with their VR headsets, they are expected to somehow squeeze their glasses inside the unit. This can become uncomfortable when your temples come under sustained pressure from headset straps or when the nose pads of your glasses are pressed heavily against your face. In some case...

PS4.5 Coming Before The PSVR Itself?

Few days back there was a rumor suggesting a new and upgraded PlayStation 4 in works, today the news is kind of confirmed and we might see a new “PS4.5” well before the launch of PSVR in October. This latest report comes from The Wall Street Journal. According to them, Sony would announce its upgraded console before October but we are still unfamiliar at this point if whether or not it will be presented to all of us this E3. While there are some reports which claim Sony aiming at 4K gaming with this new console, Digital Foundry spoke with its own sources and came to the conclusion that this is pretty unlikely for Sony to do so, which makes sense given that even high-end gaming PCs today struggle at Ultra-HD resolutions. However if the report of The Wall Street Journal is precise then we co...

Halo 5 On The PC May Spell Disaster For The Xbox One

It’s a great that many of the Xbox One exclusives are coming to PC. However, there is one question which still remains in the minds of many. Where is Halo 5? Phil Spencer had an answer to this specific question later during a media Q&A at Microsoft’s Build 2016 conference, attempting to explain why some games will remain exclusive to particular platforms like Xbox One. Spencer stated that “all” Microsoft published games will hit both platforms. Games will release for Xbox or Windows 10 depending on their suitability for either platform. By using RTS, Ashes of The Singularity as an example, Spencer stated that it’s not a great fit for console, even though Xbox One will get mouse and keyboard support during its lifespan. “If I enable keyboard and mouse on a ...

New Call Of Duty To Be Set In Space?

Few days back we reported that the new Call of Duty will be allegedly a sequel to Ghosts and will be called Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 with Riley, the dog from the original Ghosts game as a playable character. Now the latest reports which have surfaced online suggest that the new COD will be set in space. Some of these first details were appeared online thanks to serial industry source veteran, Shinobi. This new COD title will be developed by Infinity Ward, the creators of the original title. It will be interesting to see how a person will shoot his guns in space and how will one express his pain through crying  since in space, no one can hear you scream. Other than that it will be fun to see Krypto flying here and there once in a while. What? A man can dream right? On a serious note though, C...

PlayStation VR Coming To PC?

In the latest news, Sony may bring its PlayStation VR to PC. According to Nikkei, Sony Computer Entertainment executive vice president Masayasu Ito told the Japanese publication that the company is thinking of making the PS VR headset, which is coming out this October, compatible with the PC’s later in its lifespan. Currently the PlayStation VR requires a PlayStation 4 to operate, while the console shares similar “internal parts” to a PC, Ito said, according to a translation by Reddit user named MSDefenseForce. While Sony might be exploring the possibility of future PC functionality, they are currently focused on developing games for the new platform. Ito later told Nikkei that Sony is planning on shipping more than 2 million PlayStation VR units this year. Since the headset wi...

Why The Hate For The Division?

It’s been some time since The Division released and I have seen many hate posts on social media, groups etc. regarding the game. All these posts made me wonder, what was wrong with the game because of which it is getting this kind of hate. Is it the typical Ubisoft game hate? Or something else. This made me do some research, so that I can find the major reasons behind all this. The most common hate reasons are: The game was downgraded and the optimization is not good on PC. This is somewhat understandable since I’ve faced this even on my Titan X, which is not able to play the game on constant 60 fps on Ultra (I’m playing on high-ultra with 40+ FPS). Other than that there many other complaints such as the downgrade, since the game looked much better in E3 trailers. Which does no...

PlayStation Games Coming To Mobile?

Ever wanted to experience PlayStation games on your mobile? Well you might be able to do that soon thanks to Sony who are now establishing a new division called FowardWorks. This new division will be focusing on bringing original full- fledged PlayStation titles to iOS and Android. ForwardWork activities will be focused overall on users who are staying in Japan and Asia. It’ll be led by Atsushi Morita, SCE’s top executive in Asia, and SCE Group CEO Andrew House is one of the division’s directors. Now this is the part where I tell you to not get excited due to a reason which you may or may not find thoughtful. This new division by Sony begins its operations on April 1st . Now last I checked April 1st is the day when rumors are rampant, and making a fool of others is a norm...

Evolution Studios: Makers Of DriveClub Shutdown

Evolution Studios, the studio behind World Rally Championship, MotorStorm and the recent Playstation 4 exclusive racing game, Driveclub, has shut down as confirmed by Sony. While the game was a bit of a mess at launch, the developers worked hard and turned it into one of the best racing titles on the PS4. They even added a DLC, which brought bikes to the game. Just a year ago, 55 people had been cut from Evolution and today Sony made a hard choice of closing down the Studio itself. To be honest I haven’t played much of Driveclub, but Motorstorm was a memorable part of my life especially the apocalypse edition. Sony released a statement to gamesindustry.biz stating: “Regular reviews take place throughout SCE Worldwide Studios, ensuring that the resources that we have in such a c...

A Better And Upgraded PS4 In Works?

Rumors in the gaming world come and go but this specific one catches the eye. As always take this rumor with a pinch of salt as nothing is concrete. The latest rumor suggests that Sony might be working on a new and upgraded version of the PlayStation 4 which would be able to play games on high resolution of 4K. This new PS4 will “supposedly” not only be coming with a better and more powerful GPU, but it would also have more processing power which would help in running games in 4k and in virtual reality, at a higher fidelity. Whether Sony will allow the current PS4 owners to trade in their current consoles is something we still don’t have an idea about. In simple words, 4K resolution is around four times the pixel size of 1080p, which is the current standard for games on P...

The Coalition: Game Development, E-Sports & The Games Industry In India

Two years ago, The Coalition was launched as a creative boot camp for individuals who wanted to transform their ideas into a business. One of their main concerns was the disconnect between creative artists, industry experts, investors, and the audience themselves. They have been since then pledged to create a space where this community can come together to cross-pollinate ideas and initiate a dialogue about the business of creation and creativity. While it started off with mainstream forms of entertainment media in the country, this year (4th-6th March, 2016) they have a dedicated section for Gaming, which we are attending. This being written as the day one of the session ends. We have walked away quite impressed with the initiative, and the much deserved attention Video Games are getting ...
