Remember When Ubisoft Thought Egypt Would Be A Terrible Setting For Assassin’s Creed?

Back in 2012, when work on Assassin’s Creed: Origins had not yet started, developers at Ubisoft actually did not think that an Egyptian setting would work in the game. Egypt and Japan have been some of the most requested settings for Assassin’s Creed by fans of the franchise. However, series creative director Alex Hutchinson, thought that these are terrible ideas. “They’re kind of the three worst settings for an AC game.” He said, speaking in an interview. “People on the internet suggest the most boring settings.” I am really glad that the game Director for Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Ashraf Ismail, felt differently, and went ahead with Egypt, which turned to be an absolutely fantastic setting. I still really want to see an Assassin’s Cr...

Looking Back At 10 Years Of Assassin’s Creed

What begun as a simple video game franchise back in November 2017, went on to become a universe in itself that comprises movies, comics, novels and uncountable fans. And just when thought that the future of the series was dull, Ubisoft unveiled Assassin’s Creed Origins, the game that gave a new spur of life to the series with its revamped gameplay mechanics and the vast open world of Ancient Egypt. Assassin’s Creed introduced a new genre of games with Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad on the last generation of consoles, a genre where the player can climb on top of almost anything and discover historic locations. Initially, Assassin’s Creed was supposed to be a spin-off title of Prince of Persia where the players would take charge of a female Assassin who would have protected the p...

Assassin’s Creed And Watch Dogs Set In The Same Universe?

We’ve already seen some hints in the past that suggest that Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed titles are set in the same fictional world. And an easter egg in Assassin’s Creed Origins only seems to provide more proof for this theory. Like every Assassin’s Creed title, Origins also has modern day segments. The first time you play in the modern times, you’re introduced to Layla Hassan, who is spending her time in the Animus experiencing the game. She has a laptop filled with emails and documents about people related to the games’ plot, who may have died. One of these people is Olivier Garneau, the chief creative officer of Abstergo Entertainment, the same company in whose offices Assassin’s Creed IV was set. In that game, we discovered ...

What Do Gamers Want From The Next Assassin’s Creed?

The latest instalment in the Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Origins, has surpassed all our expectations and won our hearts. The ancient Egyptian setting took the players back to the most primal days of the Creed and fixed pretty much everything a gamer had to complain about with the in-depth RPG elements, a beautifully vast open world and a challenging combat. According to the popular speculations, it stands a strong chance to be the Game of The Year 2017. Although the game is pretty fresh in the market and most of us haven’t even probably got our hands on it, many gamers have started speculating the next Assassin’s Creed. Today, we’ll sum up a few of the most popular demands and speculations of the gamers regarding the mainline title of the creed series. A Brotherh...

5 Things You Need To Know About Assassin’s Creed Origins

Assassin’s Creed Origins comes out today, and for once I’m excited about a new game in the franchise. The reason? Ubisoft is making a ton of changes to their original Assassin’s Creed formula, and it’ll be surely interesting to see how that turns out. To prepare yourself for the launch, here’s 5 new things you should know about the new game 1. Prepare Well Before You Assassinate The biggest change, perhaps, is the addition of a new RPG level system. In earlier games you could assassinate a target in a single hit, but here it won’t be possible if the target is a higher level. If anything, once you fail and try again, you’ll only find your mission harder as the target would have taken additional measures. So you better make sure you prepare before yo...

Assassin’s Creed Origins ‘Birth of the Brotherhood ‘Trailer and Stealth Gameplay

Assassin’s Creed Origins – Stealth, Freedom of Choice, and a Lost City in the Desert In what might be a series first, Assassin’s Creed Origins pushed me to use all of the tactics at my disposal, without any prodding from the story or mission guidelines. This happened during my latest hands-on session with the game (set in the Nile Delta and Giza Plateau), somewhere around my fourth attempt to free Ghupa, an old man caged at the center of a hilltop camp. Ghupa had been kidnapped after asking too many questions about a shadowy villain known as the Scarab, a member of the mysterious Order of the Ancients whose preferred method of killing involved burying people up to their necks in the desert and leaving them to die. This fate hadn’t yet befallen Ghupa, but for now he was surrounded by a gene...
