With Watch Dogs 2’s release just around the corner, I was expecting some gossip regarding the game to appear on the online sphere. Apparently there is some footage of the game that appears to contain an Easter egg that might be a reference to a new Ubisoft game, while there are rumors that it might be nothing at all.
According to Kotaku, there is a mission in Watch Dogs 2 that sees players stealing a trailer for an upcoming Ubisoft video game.
Ubisoft’s San Francisco office is actually in WD2, which might be the reason they could pull this off. The one minute clip is some kind of outer space game that Ubisoft (in the Watch Dogs 2 fiction) would later announce at E3.
I’m not sure what you guys think about this, but I feel this is a neat way to get people to start talking about WD2. The game is about hacking at the end of the day, making this “inception” type move all the more smart. The game is supposed to have a lot of Easter eggs and this could very well be one of them.
Watch Dogs 2 comes out on November 15 for PS4 and Xbox One and on the 29th of the month for PC.
