Free DLC for Assassin’s Creed Unity Players

Free DLC for Assassin’s Creed Unity Players

In an attempt to make it up to fans across the world, Ubisoft is taking desperate measures to regain the trust of their players after the rocky start they had with Unity’s launch. Ubisoft is giving away the game’s Dead Kings expansion to all players. This content was going to be a part of the game’s DLC pass, and for those who already bought the pass (or the Gold Edition, which includes the pass), Ubisoft will give them one free game from the list below

– The Crew

– Far Cry 4

– Watch Dogs

– Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

– Rayman Legends

– Just Dance 2015

Ubisoft is currently in the process of setting up a system to process this free game offer. More details on how you can claim your free game will be sure to follow. The game’s DLC pass has also been removed from sale, although its other scheduled content–including the standalone game Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China– has not been removed and will be delivered later.

As for the Dead Kings expansion, which is a story that takes place after the events of the main game, is “coming soon” according to Ubisoft.

Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto CEO Yannis Mallat also apologized for Unity’s unfortunate launch, stating that he understands how disappointing and frustrating it might have been for those affected.

“Unfortunately, at launch, the overall quality of the game was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues,” he said. “I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin’s Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential.”

Mallat emphasized on the fact that Ubisoft was working diligently to fix the game’s issues by release a steady flow of patches. The third patch just came out a few days ago and is said to fix some 300 plus bugs.

“In addition to the latest patch and this offer, we are committed to delivering further fixes for other issues you’ve raised,” Mallat added. “In the meantime, please keep your feedback coming–it has been both humbling and incredibly helpful as we continue working hard to improve the overall quality of the game. We are hopeful that with these forthcoming updates, everyone will be able to truly enjoy their Assassin’s Creed Unity experience.”
