I’d like to start off by wishing everybody the best for the upcoming year. I sincerely hope that this year brings a lot of happiness to you and your family. We started this year off by celebrating Jasmeet and my birthday in the first week of January. No we didn’t go out and get wasted, instead we called a bunch of our community members to our office, ordered food and played games. Birthday Celebration of @joashcornelius & @theincrediblehulka followed by a Lan party with @krussail, @shreyninja, @nikhillmichigan, @watcher.on.the.wall & @ashish_sunny_walia at @gamingcentralindia where I kicked the butt of @krussail so bad in COD4:MW that he’ll stay 2km away from me ? Comic-Con We kicked off this month by getting a stall at Comic-Con, Delhi. We let people try out VR for free at our stall and were giving off Rs. 200 game voucher on G2A. We also ran a LeEco giveaway online while we were at Comic-Con. By the way, the next three images were shot on the Le 2. Every month I sit down to write these Life at GC articles and every time I think to myself “Man, we didn’t do a whole lot this month“, but when I actually get to writing about the events I realize how much stuff actually went down on these occasions. Game of Dorms at Shiv Nadar University So we had a fairly productive month this time around and one of the biggest events had to be Game of Dorms that we had over at Shiv Nadar University. The college had us over for their 3 day fest where we held a FIFA 17 and DOTA Tournament as well as a Gamer Rebellion for the students. I handled the FIFA tournament, while Jasmeet took care of the DOTA tournament. Shrey and Sachith took care of the VR system that we had on showcase while Nikhill kept shuffling back and forth making sure he...
This month has been a relatively quiet month here at the Gaming Central office. Didn’t really go out much, just sat indoors and now taking pills for Vitamin D. But we were busy working on various other projects during the course of the month. Here is just a round up of the more interesting stuff we did this month: Game of Thrones Mod With Cooler Master, we held a competition to Power a Maker for the Power Your Passion competition. We took in entries from various makers around India and picked one winner who would get the gaming mod of their dreams. That maker is Amit Didwania, an interior designer who also happens to be a huge Game of Thrones fan. I know last month I said the same thing, that we had a packed month with lots of events going on and all, but if I thought last month was hectic, I clearly didn’t know what hectic meant. September has been a hectic month, with an average of 1.25 events each week( haha, yeah I did the math). Events was pretty much the overarching theme for the month really. If there was one thing that defined the month it would have to be Gamer Rebellion. For those who didn’t hear about it or have heard about it and don’t quite know what it is, Gamer Rebellion is an initiative that we started wherein we went from college to college showcasing some of the best gaming hardware in the market right now. It all started with the launch of the RX 480 in India that we hosted in Radisson, Blu Dwar...
The month of August had been quite a hectic one for all of us here at Gaming Central. From quite literally the start of the month we had events after events. But it was all worth it at the end when we got to meet our community members, who we interact with over our Facebook live-streams. Here is what went down at GC this month. Radeon RX 480 Launch Jasmeet was pulling off all-nighters to get stuff working. Pretty sure he’s sleeping in this picture. We hosted AMD’s RX 480 official launch here in India. We put up various systems to on display at the event for everyone to actually try VR on the 480. What most people missed out on was the manual labor that went on behind the scenes. Needless to say we didn’t have a lot of space in the office that week. We kinda just sat aroun...
Its finally here. After months of popular demand, we have opened our doors and laid out the red carpets to take you on a tour of our office and introduce you to the people behind the magic. And for more news and reviews, keep checking back at Gaming Central.
We’ve have recently moved to a new office, which basically means we’ve space for more consoles, gaming rigs, some new Spheros, Manas’s skateboard (can’t ride it though ever since he slipped his disc), Nikhill’s liquor cabinet (yes, he’s a regular drunkard, some even call him The Captain, you know cuz sailors drink a lot..), Shrey’s treadmill (who’d have thought he was a fitness freak! Just kidding, we simply make new interns run on it to generate electricity), Gurnoor’s traditional saree collection (she actually keeps it in Nikhill’s liquor cabinet. #sanskar), and other accoutrements. Oh, and most importantly, we now have space to bring you guys and pretty gals tons of new gaming content, ranging from new shows, gameplay videos, r...

Indiemax is a really cool initiative/event/meetup by the good folks at VMAX and 9Apps. Its a fun place to interact and network with fellow app developer and gain insights from the creators of successful app developers. It kicked off in Delhi and goes on in 6 different cities. We went to the one in Delhi, which was held at the ever popular Social, at Hauz Khas Village. Here are some of the highlights! And for more news and reviews, keep checking back at Gaming Central.
