Activision have made an official announcement stating that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Apocalypse DLC is set to be released on the 26th of September on PC and PS3.
Apocalypse is the fourth and final piece of downloadable content for Black Ops II which includes four additional maps. Two of them are new (Pod, set on a Cliffside in Taiwain, and Frost, set in a snow-covered European city) and the remaining two are based on previous Treyarch Call of Duty maps (Takeoff, based on Stadium from the original Black Ops and Dig, an updated version of Courtyard from World at War).
The most fascinating thing about Apocalypse is that it features ‘Origins‘. It puts players back into a World War I era in France, where they encounter the return of the four main heroes- Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen. “From the very first Zombies map featured in Call of Duty: World at War, as well as hordes of undead that have overrun the French countryside’s trenches and fields, as well as the ruins of an ancient and mysterious location.”
