Daymare: 1998, an indie horror survival game inspired by Resident Evil has gotten a brand new trailer, shortly before the start of its Kickstarter campaign.
In addition to offering a feel of the game’s eerie and mysterious setting, it also features creepy voices and flashes of enemies. Take a look at the trailer below:
Before this, developer Invader Studios was working on a fan remake of Resident Evil 2, which was scrapped on a request by Capcom. The noteworthy thing here is that Resident Evil 2 was released in 1998, a number that has a great influence on Daymare, being included in the title as well. According to the developers, it features “many connections with beloved old school survival horror games and ’90s landmark brands.”
Invader Studios has also revealed some details about the game’s Kickstarter campaign; reward tiers range from €1 (around US $1.06) to €7000 ($7,404), with a digital copy of the game costing €12 ($12.69). The campaign is live as of 15th February and will end on 17th March. No release date for the game has been announced yet, but for now it is only set to launch for the PC.
