Assassin’s Creed franchise probably won’t see a release next year. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that we might not see the next iteration before 2018.
In an interview with GameSpot, Guillemot said that the publisher has “an opportunity to take the series to another level.” They will be putting the time to good use to make the experience fantastic.
“There’s a huge potential in this game to revolutionise the IP, so we said, ‘Let’s make sure we change our model so we have more time and that we can bring back a greater experience.'” When asked about what sort of time frame we were looking at, he replied saying that the franchise will return when it’s ready.
