Xbox One X, the upcoming powerhouse from Microsoft is going to be released later this year. Then it will become the most powerful console in the market. In a recent interview with Tom Wimbush, Lead Designer of Fable Fortune. He said-
“Unlike in a desktop PC the Xbox One and Xbox One X enjoy a shared memory architecture,” he said. “This means the memory can be divided between the CPU and GPU as the developers need. When bringing the title to Ultra HD resolutions [on Xbox One X] we’ll need the increased memory on the GPU in order to make room for higher resolution textures for crystal clear images.”
Xbox One X is able to out perform other consoles and Mid Range PCs with it’s 9gb RAM, of which developers have access to. Xbox One X has a total ram of 12gb pf gddr5 ram.
Further in the interview he was also asked about the next update in Xbox One line up and he said-
“It’s always hard to predict the console market. The Xbox One X is certainly a serious piece of hardware. If I had to guess, I would say that this will be the last ‘update’ that we’ll see to the current generation of consoles as efforts shift towards planning for the next generation, but I could be wrong!”
It seems logical that Xbox One won’t be getting any more physical updates as this console generation is half over and it would be highly unlikely that Xbox One would be getting an update as they will be focusing on the next generation of consoles.
