Watch Dogs 2, Ubisoft’s upcoming hack ’em all is uber hyped, but PC gamers might be a little disappointed with the following news. While both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will get physical disc releases, PC gamers will have to be satisfied with a digital copy unless thy buy the Collector’s Edition. Meaning? Your only options to get the game are Steam and Uplay (or some other digital vendor). Of course, if you’re willing to shell enough money, the Collector’s Edition costs about INR 7499 only. Ubisoft’s post-earnings call last week heavily featured pre-orders, and it seems that things haven’t been going as expected by the video game giants. When asked how the pre-orders are coming up for their upcoming uber hyped Watch Dogs 2, CEO Yves Guillemot said, “We do consider that preorders are important, but they are not completely crucial for the success of the game.” Ubisoft pointed out that they don’t really consider pre-orders as good reliable indicators of the game’s performance as they used to in the past. It seems like a lot of care and attention is being put towards the PC version in order to make it look like a proper PC title, instead of a shabby port. 4K support and PC-centric UI looks to be a recurring highlight.
