Assassin’s Creed franchise probably won’t see a release next year. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that we might not see the next iteration before 2018. In an interview with GameSpot, Guillemot said that the publisher has “an opportunity to take the series to another level.” They will be putting the time to good use to make the experience fantastic. “There’s a huge potential in this game to revolutionise the IP, so we said, ‘Let’s make sure we change our model so we have more time and that we can bring back a greater experience.'” When asked about what sort of time frame we were looking at, he replied saying that the franchise will return when it’s ready. In case you forgot the rocky start Unity had during it’s launch then you might want to ...
At its core, Champions Of Anteria is a mix of the RPG and RTS genre. It was initially slated to be the next Settlers game called The Settlers: Kingdoms Of Anteria. It’s been some time since The Division released and I have seen many hate posts on social media, groups etc. regarding the game. All these posts made me wonder, what was wrong with the game because of which it is getting this kind of hate. Is it the typical Ubisoft game hate? Or something else. This made me do some research, so that I can find the major reasons behind all this. The most common hate reasons are: The game was downgraded and the optimization is not good on PC. This is somewhat understandable since I’ve faced this even on my Titan X, which is not able to play the game on constant 60 fps on Ultra (I’m playing on high-ultra with 40+ FPS). Other than that there many other complaints such as the downgrade, since the game looked much better in E3 trailers. Which does no...
In a somewhat awkward fumble by Naughty Dog, the latest story trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End had featured artwork from an Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag art book. While Ubisoft was quick to point it out, and Naughty Dog fixed that error promptly and rather gracefully, it did bring to mind the question whether the art work was used only in the painting set on the mantle or elsewhere in the game. To put it bluntly, was it used as a location in the game itself? If you watch the video carefully, you’ll notice that the locale shown right after the painting appears carries an uncanny resemblance. You can see the image below: If this does turn out to be the case, then Naughty Dog is surely scrambling to re-make this section of the game. Not only does any resemblance to ...
Today, Ubisoft Entertainment has released a range of stunning photos of a hand-crafted Sony PlayStation®4 and DUAL SHOCK ®4 controllers, to mark the upcoming launch of Far Cry Primal on February 23rd, 2016. Working free-hand, accredited master carver and stone mason, Nick Roberson, was commissioned to intricately replicate these items from stone, to showcase the Stone Age era that the franchise moves to in the latest installment. In addition to the PS4 console and controllers, Nick Roberson was also commissioned to craft an entire gaming den from hand-carved finest Fletcher Band sandstone. The den was also kitted out with a stone television, pizza box, beer can and an impressive carved coffee table. The result is a stunning image of a prehistoric take on the contemporary items of today, as...
We had earlier reported on speculations that Watch Dogs 2 was indeed in development, and will be releasing sometime in the course of the next two years. it had remained an unconfirmed rumor until today, when Ubisoft confirmed in its third quarter sales announcement that Watch Dogs 2, and a few other games of note, will be out sometime during its 2016-17 fiscal year. The report throws around some big numbers, as they are wont to do: Ubisoft expects big sales this year—€1.36 billion/$1.54 billion—and even more next year—€1.7 billion ($1.93 billion)—thanks to what Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot calls a “portfolio of powerful franchises.” More money is good news for Ubi, but the interesting part from a non-business perspective is found a bit lower down the announcement. There are no sp...
