Where are Ellie and Joel?” As it turns out, Naughty Dog has a wider cast of characters in mind with The Last Of Us 2, with one of them possibly being Ellie’s mom. Rumors have it that the woman that had been captured and was being hung up for execution is in fact Ellie’s mom, and she is a part of the Fireflies – one of the rebel factions in The Last Of Us universe. A few days ago, The Last of Us Creative Director Neil Druckmann and Game Director Bruce Straley held a Reddit Ask Me Anything where they mentioned that developer Naughty Dog still has to decide whether we’ll see a sequel to The Last of Us. “Right now I’d say it’s 50/50,” Druckmann said.
