During Steam Dev Days, Valve’s annual conference focused on developers, Jeff Bellinghausen announced that Valve will release an update that adds DualShock 4 support to Steam’s Controller configuration settings, bringing the improved optimization for the beloved PS 4 controller. As reported by Gamasutra, developer Lars Doucet (Defender’s Quest) said, ““Believe it or not, when you use the PS4 Controller through the Steam API, it’s exactly the same as a Steam Controller. Will they, won’t they, first Bethesda announces that Sony has declined any mod support for Skyrim on the PlayStation 4, but in the latest blog post, the studio says that both Skyrim SE and Fallout 4 are going to get mods on the PS 4. Minecraft, the building blocks game that took over the world by storm seems to be on its way to become the first truly cross platform game, between Sony’s PlayStation 4 and the Microsoft Xbox One. According a screenshot of a tweet by Mojang (which has now been deleted) on KeenGamer, Minecraft will now support true cross-platform support, ahead of the upcoming Minecon this year. Available only for Minecraft Realms for the time being, players will be able to invite their mobile gaming friends as well. Realms allows players to host sessions on rented servers for a monthly subscription. Earlier, the cross platform support was only available for Anroid, iOS, PC and Xbox Live. Codenamed Shingen, this update brings a fresh system UI, updates to Quick Menu, Library updates, Folder organization and much more. Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, The Last Guardian has been delayed once more. Now the game is scheduled to release on 6th December in the US, 7th December in Europe and 9th December in Ireland and the UK. As promised, Sony revealed a Slim version of the PlayStation 4 at the Sony PlayStation Meeting on 7th September. The PS 4 Slim is essentially the same as its predecessor, but in a smaller form factor and more portability. It offers the same power and internal specification as the original PS 4, and is fully compatible with all the currently available software. The new console also comes with a redesigned version of the DualShock 4. The lightbar is now oriented to face the player a little better, so they can see the notifications prompted by in-game events. The optical port was also dropped out, but apart from that it has the same I/O options. Talking about size, it is supposed to be about 30% smaller than the original PlayStation 4. After the E3 announcement where Bethesda said that they will be bringing the power of mods to consoles, allowing you modify your game as you please, Bethesda recently posted on their website that Sony will not allow the support for mods on the Playstation 4. It’s here! The highly anticipated, uber hyped PS 4 Neo has been finally revealed by Sony, though it’s called the PS 4 Pro. This iteration upgrades the three year old Playstation 4 with a better GPU, faster processor and adds support for 4K resolutions. The PS 4 Pro can provide output for 4K and HDR videos. Similar to the Xbox One Elite controller that debuted last year, recent posts on Target.com have listed the Playstation 4 Elite controller up for pre-order. Giving the player the freedom to change the functions of certain buttons, it gives them more control over the game. The design appears to be more curved than the traditional PS 4 controller. Like its Xbox Elite counterpart, it features rubberized grip for a more comfortable grip.
