Rockstar Games announced the release dates for Grand Theft Auto V on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 18th of November, 2014 with the PC version to follow on the 27th of January next year. Saints Row: Gat out of Hell Announce Trailer
This standalone title will cost you around $20 and will be released for PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Players get to play as Johnny Gat and Kenzie in a co-op running around hell to rescue your boss who also happens to be the President of America. Metro 2033 Creators say PS4 is more powerful
Chief technical officer for 4A Games, Oles Shishkovstov says that the developer behind the Metro series is working on an open world title. In a rather long interview with Eurogamer, Oles talks in great detail about programming for both of the current gen consoles and further explains how ongoing improvements to their toolsets will contribute to their next game. 4A Games and publishers Deep Publisher recently came out with updated versions of both of their games–Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. DriveClub Beta For PS4
Sony has selected a few users to participate in a closed beta for DriveClub, according to new screenshots from the alleged test put up on NeoGAF. The beta appeared to be codenamed as ‘Cupcake’, with a few PS4 players being invited to test the racer ahead of its release. One screenshot also seems to show a track of the game that was not previously not seen. It still remains unclear as to how these users received these beta codes, although it probably has something to do with Sony’s Beta Test Program, an initiative that lets select players help beta test games before they release. Sony still has to announce whether or not the game will have a public beta before its launch on the 10th of October.
Amazon Buys Twitch For $1 Billion
Rumors were out that Google was planning to acquire Twitch but those rumors aren’t true anymore as Amazon and Twitch have officially announced a deal, which sees Amazon purchase all outstanding shares of Twitch for roughly $970 million in cash. The was approved by Twitch’s shareholders and should be completed sometime later this year. Twitch CEO, Emmett Shear, in a message addressed to the Twitch community, wrote, “We chose Amazon because they believe in our community, they share our values and long-term vision, and they want to help us get there faster. Assassin’s Creed Unity To Run At 720p On PS4
An official listing for Assassin’s Creed Unity at Sony Entertainment Network shows that the title is expected to run at 720p resolution on the PlayStation 4. It quite clearly says that the game outputs 720p HD. This is so strange as the last game, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ran at 1080p on the PlayStation 4. In addition to this Ubisoft confirmed in an interview with GamingBolt that they were targeting 1080p and 60fps on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Now there is a chance that this listing may just be an error and the developers are still working on the final resolution or this is just the minimum resolution that is supported by the game. Google & Razer Working On Gaming Console
Google and Razer have for a while now, been collaboratively working on a gaming console. An announcement regarding this decision was made during Google’s annual Google I/O conference, which ran from June 25-26 at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco.
