NVIDIA’s Plans For Gaming In India Is Ambitious, And That’s Good News For Gamers

Gaming has been a booming business globally. The United States alone netted revenues over $23 billion in the last year alone, with a exponential growth expected this year. Both console and PC gaming is on the rise, and this is in-part due to initiatives by gaming corporations, including hardware and software manufacturers. However, when it comes to the Indian gaming industry, while the scene is growing, there is a lot that needs to be done. Leading GPU manufacturer, NVIDIA, has been building a community of gamers, YouTubers, creators, and professionals in India. We had a chat with Vamsi Krishna, Head of Consumer Marketing, South Asia, India, who had more than a few insights into how gamers in India want their video game consumption, and how NVIDIA plans to deliver it. Reports: Windows 10 doesn’t support NVIDIA Graphics. Any fix to this?

One of the features that has been removed from Windows 10 — at least for home users — is the ability to pick and choose when updates are installed. Microsoft has taken Windows Update out of the hands of users so the process is, for the most part, completely automated. In theory, this sounds great — no more worrying about having the latest patches installed, no more concerns that a machine that hasn’t been updated will cause problems for others — but an issue with nVIDIA drivers shows that there is potential for things to go wrong. Irate owners of nVIDIA graphics cards have taken to support forums to complain that automatically-installed drivers have broken their computers. As reported by Gordon Kelly on Forbes, there are many people complaining that updates to NVidi...

NVIDIA Day Celebrations Gear Up Mumbai Round Up

The last and final of the NVIDIA Day celebrations took place in Mumbai’s Gear Up Cafe in Powai. This event concluded the NVIDIA Day celebrations that took place in major cities like Bangalore and Hyderabad. Much like the crowd at at PlayMax, people showed up much before the time allotted to them. For this particular event we invited individuals to play a series of games and accomplish tasks within those games to complete a checklist. Gamers came in a bit confused as to what a casual tournament would entail, but they got better acquainted with the idea as the event went along. So the games we had showcased for this event were Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress and War Thunder. Most of the gamers hadn’t really played a majority of the assigned games, hence making this event a way for them to d...

ASUS Strix Edition GeForce GTX 960 Graphics Card Review

Last year the GeForce GTX 980 was revealed and with the power of four Xbox Ones worth of shader processing power on offer. While that’s pretty good it’s also quite heavy on the pocket. For gamers who want to pack the punch on a Gaming Rig for under INR 50K, the GTX 960 gives you half the power of a GeForce GTX 980. Better yet, because it’s based on Nvidia’s ultra-efficient Maxwell architecture, the GTX 960 ought to perform much better than its specs would seem to indicate. Can the GTX 960 live up to the standards set by its older siblings? Let’s have a look. The GTX 960 is a pretty significant product in the line for Nvidia. The GeForce GTX 970 and 980 have been a runaway success. But most people or say gamers as well don’t buy high-end graphics cards. E...
