Though he was on the loosing team in the World Cup final, he is considered by many the best player in the world at the moment. He was named Man of the Match four times and scored that many times during his nation’s run to the finals. Messi has had many chances to feature on the cover of FIFA games. After all, the Barcelona striker was featured on the global cover of past games like FIFA Street (2012), FIFA 13 (2012), and FIFA 14 (2013). EA Sports had released their latest rendition of the FIFA franchise, FIFA’14 earlier this week, and the response its got is quite shocking. FIFA’14 comes from a long line of brilliant gameplay, good first touch response, incredible control and life like handling, which is exactly what the game is and always will be. Football sensations Lionel Messi and Gareth Bale are the two stars to feature on the cover, the only change being the appearance of a Real Madrid jersey on the cover. Bale was initially depicted in his previous club, Tottenham Hotspur’s jersey. But on the day of the transfer deadline Spurs sealed the deal with Real Madrid which in turn made Bale the most expensive player in football history. EA Sports have shown glimpses of what the next installment of FIFA may look like, and it’s no surprise that Barca’s striker Messi, for the second consecutive time would appear on the cover of FIFA’14.
