Quantic Dream have been making and improving upon the same kind of games for over 10 years now. Heavy Rain put them on the forefront, with a game that looked fantastic, told an interesting story, and generated a fair amount of controversy. Regardless of how you might feel about Heavy Rain, it was an important game in terms of getting people’s attention, and making both Quantic Dream and David Cage a name that Playstation gamers know about. Their next game, Beyond: Two Souls, failed to reach the same levels of acclaim, however their latest game, Detroit: Become Human, is definitely worth paying attention to and spending time with. It’s 2030s in Detroit and humans have created highly advanced androids to serve out every need. They are construction workers, caretakers, housemaids,...
We are extremely pleased and proud to announce today, that after four years of passionate crafting, Detroit: Become Human has officially gone gold! During these four years, we have gone through all possible states and emotions that the development of such a challenging project induces: the pride of working on something special and unique, the doubt of attaining all our creative and technical goals, the hope when publicly releasing scenes and trailers and seeing players’ positive reactions, the fear of not having enough time and resources to make everything perfect, the joy of finally seeing all parts of the puzzle come together, scene after scene, and finally being able to play the game from start to finish. And today, I guess it is with a mixture of all these feelings that we stand in fro...

We are proud to announce that Detroit: Become Human now has an official release date: on May 25th, you will finally have the chance to get your hands on Quantic Dream’s most ambitious title to date. In a dystopian vision of our near future, Detroit is the story of three androids, three machines designed to obey, who start to feel emotions. Confronted with persecution and the violence of society, they will all have to decide who they want to be. Connor is a prototype designed to help human investigators on cases involving androids; Kara becomes a fugitive by empathizing with a little girl, united in their dream of freedom; Markus will become the leader of the android revolution. The player will control all three in turn, taking control of their destinies, and telling not only their individu...

Detroit: Become Human – New Trailer Debuts at Paris Games Week When we released a short video called “Kara” in 2011, we never imagined where it would take us. Initially just a tech demo, the story of this female android wanting to be free moved millions of people online and won an award at the LA Short Festival — a first for a short based on a game engine. Since then, I tried to imagine what happened to Kara after she left the factory. I had to imagine a world, our world in 20 years – the city of Detroit reborn thanks to the android industry. I also imagined two other playable characters: Connor, the deviant hunter working with the humans, and Markus, the leader of the android revolution. Since we introduced Detroit with a teaser focused on Kara, we released demos of Connor and Markus. We ...

The Press Conference I was most looking forward to personally and I was not disappointed. With Spider-Man, Days Gone, God of War and some interesting surprises you might say it made up for the lack of The Last of Us 2. Here are the highlights of the conference with some great games to look forward top. Days Gone We finally got an extended look at Days Gone and it looks like a lot fun. Riding your bike around, using a sort of detective vision, setting up traps, using the horde to your advantage and also fighting a BEAR ZOMBIE. God of War Kratos is back and he is still an absolute badass. We’re given a little more information about the story of the game and a glimpse at the combat which seems to be improved but still is similar to the core combat mechanics. The game visually looks godl...
