5 Games Assassin’s Creed Origins Takes Inspiration From

Taking a two year break seems to have done wonders for the Assassin’s Creed franchise, with Origins turning out to be a great game. As much as we like the game, we can also notice some major titles that seem to have inspired the different elements in Origins, and it’s sure worth mentioning. Here are the 5 games that seem to have a major influence on Assassin’s Creed Origins. 1. MGS V: The Phantom Pain The first thing that comes to mind when you get spotted by an enemy and time comes a standstill (not romantically), is The Phantom Pain. The same mechanism exists in Origins as well and provides an extra layer of intensity to the stealth. Additionally, the amount of freedom that the player in choosing how to reach an objective is another area where Origins may have been insp...

Gotta Shine A Little Brighter: Rise And Shine Review

Gorgeous artwork,  a wonderful score, and a brutal world, Rise and Shine promises so much more but ultimately falls short. Developed by Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team (That’s a mouthful) and published by Adult Swim, Rise and Shine was released in January 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game tells a tale of a video game world where characters know they are in a game and are controlled by a “guide”. The game follows the story of an eleven-year-old known as Rise who is chosen to be the carrier of the sacred talking gun known as Shine to save his planet Gamearth from the Space Grunts of the planet Nexgen. The art style and artwork of the game is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful backgrounds that feature cameos and references to many famous games of the pas...

Now if you had kept up with news regarding the game in general, you would’ve have found out how people were having fun replacing all the in-game textures with crabs or an image of Nicholas Cage (what?!?), so love for the Dark Souls games hasn’t died. Ashes of Ariandel will be the first of the two expansions planned for the game, adding tons of new stuff, including new weapons, armour, magic and a new PvP arena called Immortal Competition. The DLC will also add “exciting lore to expand the overarching Dark Souls...

This Guy Finished Dark Souls 3 Without Getting Hit (SAY WHAT?)

When the name Dark Souls pops up, so does the phrase “You died”. Some may say they’re synonymous. For most of us, Dark Souls is mostly about running away from enemies, getting bashed and dying countless times (and repeat). The game is well known for stripping players of both their dignity and willpower, as they finish it with a small shred of hope that has kept them going. However, there are some who say “bring it on”. Twitch streamer FaraazKhan (or as we like to call him, the chosen one), finished Dark Souls 3 in under three hours without dying, nay, even getting hit even one time. Sounds unbelievable, doesn’t it? Like a total badass, he chose to go for a purely melee combat, so no magic or arrows to help take the enemies down from a distance. He does c...

No More Souls Games, Confirms Hidetaka Miyazaki

The final chapter in the Souls series has come to a close, and will remain closed if Hidetaka Miyazaki, the Director of Dark Souls 3, is to be believed. Having already started work on a new IP, From Software President told GGN Gamer in an interview that they wanted to walk in a new direction and that Miyazaki had already started working on their brand new game. “There’s absolutely no plan right now for any sequels, spin-offs or tie-ins. But I can’t say for certain the possibility is 0%.”, said Miyazaki. And he went on to say, “For example, if a FROM Software developer comes to me five years from now and beg ‘please let me make another Dark Souls‘. Then I will not rule out the possibility to let my subordinates start a new project. What is certain for now is, to me personally Da...
