What are heroes without their counterparts? Nothing really, if you ask me. Conflict only arises when there are two clashing/opposing views. Without villains conflict does not exist and without conflict, nothing is learned, nothing is gained, nothing really happens. A hero can never be truly valued without a villain, making the antagonist absolutely necessary in any sort of narrative. What really makes them shine are their villains. Having said that, here are five of the villains we all love to hate from games that we’ve played over the years. Vaas Montenegro (Far Cry 3) Bearing close resemblance to the Joker, Vaas portrays tons of dark humor, mercilessness and of course is completely insane. Despite the fact that he is a total maniac, he’s still feels like a guy I can watch sports with. Ma...

Kitguru reported that Arkham Knight won’t come back to Steam until maybe this fall. This comes hot on the heels of the official update on the Steam page by WB, in which they apologised for the debacle again and told that they are “modifying the internal review process for all of our games” and reassured the community that they are “working on [the updated version of the game on PC] every day” and “for the players who are continuing to play Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, fixes are continually being made to the game as we await the final updated version” They also announced that “Batman: Arkham Knight – Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC will not be available on July 14 for those who are currently playing the PC version of the game” to “...
The Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC will, as the title would suggest, let you play as the infamous female archetype of Batman, Batgirl. Rocksteady Studios have announced the new content will be available to the public on July 14th for those who purchased an Arkham Knight season pass. A sample of the plot can be found below: For more on gaming, keep heading back here at GamingCentral.
Batman: Arkham Knight has a lot of things going for it. The combat is as good as ever, the gliding is still intuitive and satisfying, and the story is a solid conclusion to Rocksteady’s trilogy. But there’s one thing that’s bugged a lot of players: the Batmobile. There’s a few reasons why the Batmobile is so flat compared to the rest of the game. 1. Overpowered For most of the game, Batman is pretty easy to kill, particularly with weapons. This makes him feel extra resourceful when he’s sneaking around and fighting enemies that could destroy him quickly. It’s the reason he has all his technology and intelligence. The Batmobile is pretty hard to kill in the game, especially since dodging shots from enemy tanks is made pretty simple. Sure, you can get overwhelmed, but the fact that the game ...
“I will say that it’s pretty rich for WB to act like they had no idea the game was in such a horrible state,” a quality assurance tester who had worked on Batman: Arkham Knight and its troubled PC port “for years” told Kotaku. “It’s been like this for months and all the problems we see now were the exact same, unchanged, almost a year ago.” The quality of the PC release of Rocksteady’s latest (critically lauded) Batman installment was immediately called into question, culminating in its removal from the Steam marketplace just a day later. At the time, publisher Warner Bros. released a statement which read, in part: We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take thes...
And in the latest chapter of the ongoing Arkham Knight PC fiasco, Rocksteady’s Sefton Hill assured affected PC gamers that Rocksteady’s “Best engineers are working like crazy” to fix the issues with the much maligned PC port of the game. WB has already taken the game off of store shelves and apologised about the disastrous PC port of Batman: Arkham Knight, and is offering refunds to affected fans. Meanwhile , Eurogamer reported that Nvidia is also working on fixing the game, as it is a Gameworks title and was bundled with their GTX 980s and 970s along with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Batman Arkham Knight is not enjoying a good launch on the PC. In fact, the launch is so bad, it puts to mind the launches of Assassin’s Creed: Unity and Aliens: Colonial Marines. The game uses the notorious DRM Denuvo (on top of Steam) and appears to be horribly unoptimised, with people reporting that not even a 980Ti can maintain playable framerates on even High, with numerous issues with SLI and Crossfire support (Crossfire is disabled in AMD’s Game Ready Driver, and SLI actually reduces framerate with Nvidia). Reports of stuttering and audio glitches are also numerous. There also appears to be a memory leak in the game, which causes the application to bloat to about 15GBs on RAM before crashing. It’s also locked to 30FPS. And AMD cards are even worse off, as even the o...

Not too long ago, I had done this article on a Facebook group called Brainstorm where artists take part in a whole bunch of challenges. For a certain month their task was to redesign Batman including his Batmobile and needless to say the results were insane. However, now I’ve come across another set of images on ScoopWhoop that depict Batman in different eras. Check them out Viking Batman Source – mlkshk 1714 Batman Source – Alexon Actual Bat Batman Source – Luke Maddox Ottoman Batman Source – Eren Arik Future Batman (Not to be confused with Batman Beyond) Source – Ryan HDZ Greaser Batman Source – DenisM79 Actual Dark Knight Source – Johnas Larona Medieval Batman Source – Daniel Ab...
