Pokemon fans, rejoice! This one is definitely going to be a treat for your eyes. A fan is giving the classic Pokemon Fire Red an HD treatment, remaking the entire game in 3D using Unreal Engine.
The remake adds a lot of features, in addition to better visuals. Instead of a top down view, you can explore Kanto in third person. Also, the turn-based battles have been changed to realtime, where you can take control of your Pokemon and fight your enemies. A demo version is out now, though, it’s more like an alpha version that only goes till the starting areas of the game. And there are quite a few bugs as well. Nonetheless, it can give you a good idea of how a modern 3D imagining of the game can be.
