PlatinumGames, the studio who gave us games like Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, has teased a new IP.
According to DualShockers, the studio’s producer, Atsushi Inaba, said that PlatinumGames is working on a “formless, shapeless” IP, while addressing the audience at BitSummit in Japan. Though he didn’t provide any more details, he did mention that the game would be directed by someone new.
At last year’s BitSummit, Inaba had said that PlatinumGames was thinking about making a new IP. Now it would seem like the studio is giving some structure to its plan. He also said during the talk that he wasn’t sure whether PlatinumGames would continue to release one game per year. Will we get to see some news regarding this new, mysterious game at this year’s E3 conference? Well, chances aren’t that high, but still, we can hope. Stay tuned for more updates.
