No Man’s Sky: Sales Drop by 81% in the UK

At its launch, No Man’s Sky seemed to have hit the pinnacle of success, with it being the second biggest PS 4 launch ever, and topping the sales charts on Steam. Considering that the game was made by a small team from an indie studio, this could be said to be an amazing feat for Hello Games.

However, the game seems to have hit a bump as sales plummet, falling by 81%in the UK, according to GfK Chart Track, which tracks sales of video games in the UK. This doesn’t come as a surprise, considering all the controversies surrounding the game and the developers. Fans have been constantly disappointed with the lack of multiplayer and story elements. And though the game offers you a lot of options and freedom, it seems to  fall short of players’ expectations. And with all the issues that the players are facing in No Man’s Sky on the PC, including framerate drops and stutters, it makes sense. The game doesn’t seem to be optimised well enough

However, Hello Games claims to be constantly at work on patches to fix the gameplay and graphics issues, and updates that will add more features to the game which the players can apparently get for free, hopefully giving them a reason to give No Man’s Sky a second chance. Stay tuned for further updates.
