Final Fantasy XV Having Graphical Issues On PS 4

Final Fantasy XV Having Graphical Issues On PS 4

Whether it’s No Man’s Sky or Dishonored, this year has seen its share of broken games and problematic patches. Though these issues are more common on the PC, console titles are relatively smoother. However, it seems that Final Fantasy XV might be an exception to that rule.

One of the major problems being experience by Final Fantasy XV‘s players is the game chopping off the HUD and other display elements. This seems to be an issue with how the game interprets the screen and data from older televisions. Final Fantasy XV does not use the screen region setting option provided in the PS 4, and neither does it have an in-game setting for the same. This means, older TVs which do not offer many options are facing some issues. Here are a few screenshots of the issues players are facing:

As you can see, many of the elements on-screen are cut off. These range from a part of the health bar to objective text and even item names. Some players are even calling the game unplayable in its current state. What makes it so bad is that the demo for the game did not have any of these issues. In addition to this, it has also been reported by Digital Foundry that Final Fantasy XV has some major frametime issues.
