The Press Conference I was most looking forward to personally and I was not disappointed. With Spider-Man, Days Gone, God of War and some interesting surprises you might say it made up for the lack of The Last of Us 2. Here are the highlights of the conference with some great games to look forward top.
Days Gone
We finally got an extended look at Days Gone and it looks like a lot fun. Riding your bike around, using a sort of detective vision, setting up traps, using the horde to your advantage and also fighting a BEAR ZOMBIE.
God of War
Kratos is back and he is still an absolute badass. We’re given a little more information about the story of the game and a glimpse at the combat which seems to be improved but still is similar to the core combat mechanics. The game visually looks godly for a Playstation title.
Spider-Man
As a Spider-Man fanboy I am hyped. A bit of Arkham styled combat, QTE’s for the Spider-Sense and a sprawling open-world. People seemed to dislike the mechanics of the game but I for one look forward to this game.
Shadow of the Colossus Remake
This isn’t a remaster or a High Resolution version, this is a complete Remake of the original game for the current generation and it looks just like I remember it. It’s going to have all the visual upgrades but with the same gameplay and story.
Detroit: Become Human
David Cage is back at it again and you can see that in this trailer. Super ambitious, a story that you create with your actions and the decisions you make will shape your game. I hope it doesn’t become a chore or have a set path to a good ending or bad ending and become boring towards the 2nd half of the game.
Uncharted: Lost Legacy
A more detailed look at The Lost Legacy with the breathtaking locations and classic Uncharted adventuring. Also got a bit of story from this and seems like a lot of alliances are going to be made and broken.
Monster Hunter World
Finally we can now crack open a cold one with the boy on PC, Xbox and Playstation after killing some giant monsters. With 4 player co-op and so many monsters to kill, I’m excited to play this on the PC (FINALLY)
Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds
Time to continue one of the best new titles to have come out for the PS4. Frozen Wilds takes us to the ice capped mountains and looks like we’ll face something big, bad and mean.
Call of Duty: World War II
The reveal trailer for the Multiplayer of WW2 and it reminded me a lot of CoD 2 especially a couple of the battle cries. With air combat and big battles maybe CoD might take back its throne from Battlefield.
Hidden Agenda
A very interesting concept from the creators of Until Dawn, this is a mobile co-op horror game. With up to 5 people, your choices decide who lives and dies. I hope we can screw over our friends because that’s what I look forward to.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
Marvel v Capcom is back and it looks bigger and better. Thanos fights with you against Ultron, didn’t think that’d happen did ya?
Destiny 2
Another Destiny 2 trailer and this is shaping up to be better than Destiny in every way. We already seem to have gotten mory story from the trailers for the game as compared to the lack of story in the 1st game.
The Inpatient
One of the VR games announced, Inpatient is set in Blackwood Sanatorium, 60 years before Until Dawn. You must figure out who you are before it’s too late
Along with Inpatient they also announced more VR games which include Skyrim , a military shooter called Bravo Team, a colorful game called Star Child, a Final Fantasy XV fishing game (what?) called Monster Of The Deep, and a neat looking fantasy game called Moss where you control a little mouse. They also announced that Undertale would be coming to the Playstation 4 and PS Vita.
That wraps up the Sony Press Conference that had some good showings but the lack of The Last of Us, Death Stranding and Shenmue 3 were somewhat of a letdown. Let us know what you thought about this conference and stay tuned for more E3 Highlights.
